as a Coastal resident, id suggest not doing this drive on a long weekend.
Geelong to Apollo Bay should be a 2 hr drive, and 2 hrs back. But on a long weekend, you would be looking at 3hrs + each way.
It is usually almost bumper to bumper from Grovedale to Lorne if the weather is good...

oi dude, we are only going to melbourne to go on your stupid lame little cruise, because taxi suspension is shocking and rough as guts.. SA roads are the devil... so we wanna go for a cruise on smooth roads so we figure ur quaint little roads will do the job ...
