but you could take it to an independant tech to get a report once they have declined the warranty you are entitled to do that and that would carry weight with fair trading

Thanks for the heads up, Nokia decided this was a great idea for the N8 too unfortunatly, battery cant be removed either.

Correct, and any cost incurred in paying for that independent tech would also be recoverable.

i hate the nokias. we use the old classic as our standard company phone, they get so hot while using them, they can burn your skin. nokia just says 'it's within industry standard'

Yep since I replaced my 3210, I haven't been able to find any phone as reliable and tough as this unit!

Thanks, Yaw, just picked up the phone from this place. They resoldered the connector back to the circuit board, and now the phone works again! Same day service, too!
