Well there you go Wade, you must have found that elusive sweet spot on the launch. Did you do it on the next run? How long after we left did the it occur? I guess you'll definately be going next week!!!!

Hi Guys,
Had a ball last nite with a new PB. First pass of the nite in Luxo mode (Craig - Phantom, forgot to turn the aircon off when he hopped out of the ute LoL) and a very soft 1200 rpm launch 13.56.

60' 2.151
330' 5.872
660' 8.854
mph 81.84
1000' 11.412
ET 13.560
MPH 103.41

Thought I would try harder for the second pass and ended up stuffing it all up. Tried a 2000 rpm launch and just blew the SP3000's away.
Changed into 2nd at 60' and just continued to wheel spin.

60' 2.756
330' 7.060
660' 10.202
mph 79.13
1000' 12.850
ET 15.039
MPH 101.69

Did a couple more 13.6's for the nite and went home early when the dew on the track made even less traction for my car.
This is when Wade did a number with his Mickey Thompsons.. (Congratulations mate.)

I have got a lot of learning to do with the launch etc. I always thought it was just go to the line and boot it, but it does not appear to work that way. hahahaha

Gota thank Chris at BluePower Racing Developments and Simon at Xtreme Ford Tuning for all the fun I am now having in the Ute.

Next project:- work on the Minister of Finance for some decent rubber, so I can get the benefit from the tune Chris gave me....thanks mate...

Mate congrats on the time.....13.56 @ 103mph is sensational on the SP3000's.....good rubber ( assuming the minister approves )will only see that time drop.

Well done

Yeh Craig end up letting it go at about 3700 I think there was a tiny bit of spin. It was next run about no more than 20minutes after you left the burnouts didn't take to long.
Yes one more bash next week before its tuned properly just have to figure out why my mph is down

Its a deliberate rich commanded AF ratio, and the spark tables are GTP330's signature moves, with the timing retards in place until I can get up there and meet your car and have a chat with it.

You may see low 11 AF's at the moment, but Im happier in the knowledge that your baby is on the safe side, it will be 107mph plus when I get there. :

Yeh that's what you get for kicking me out into the cold.... Seriously, great stuff Chris. The only thing stopping you from getting those low 13's like Wade was your tyres. Your car really wants to let rip, with the sticky tyres you can add atleast 1500rpm to that launch.

Ok wade - a few more things.

It looks like when you stage the car you are slightly off centre - try and make sure you are "in the groove", especially in a heavy car, it will help the launch.

Second thing, those tyres need to be almost a slick before they start to work, and they will stick better and better each time.

With lining the car up, try and get it centre as you pull in for the burnout - at WSID its like pomona - straight through the underpass, so make sure u are centred.
