This honestly does not make sense, as presented.

What part of the registration process did you get to?

Did they advise on how to clear the defect?

By reading the official website, it appears you should be (my summary)
1. Prepare the vehicle to pass a normal inspection for unregistered vehicles.
2. Pay the fee and book your inspection.
3. If required, return (need to pay second booking fee) after remedying all points where the vehicle failed inspection.
4. Register car.

Thats what they should do but I heard through word of mouth that they would inspect the whole car, and I dont think it would pass.

Correct re the inspection process.

That’s the actual problem you have then.

Not the defect itself but a vehicle currently not fit for registration.

Yes im in SA. I don't have the money to get the car 'road worthy' to pass regency. Even though it was only defected for a tyer and incorrect size steering wheel (they have all been fixed) the car has rust in places that would need to be cut out. I know regency will not pass a car with rust in certain areas.

I’d advise not.

When using Postimages, choose the option of either “take photo” or “photo library”.

Consider what else is visible in pictures you choose to share.

Click that link above and then hit Choose Images.
Now navigate thru your files on your phone and select the images you want on here.
Let them upload and then you will have a number of options allowing you to Direct Link images or post up the link for the Library of images you created on that website.
