marcyeo, I expect much more is to be announced in detail yet but one thing that makes me farfar more comfortable is these are the FPV guys, they know what Tier 1 supply is all about.
Haven't you checked the vid with Bowy, its all quoting how OE it actually is. This is the quality we expect from OE/New and they did all the testing just as they would have for Ford so yer, probably some conservatism but better for the long haul. These guys are a cut above the KPM/Herrod and the likes. Its not about saying you have a HO, its just the finished enhancement on a project that deserved it. Horse's for course's.

With Bernie Quinn involved it will be a good thing. He’s a top notch engineer.

I'm not into modern but hey I like it. Admire a nice bit of engineering.

I think we should leave the HO name alone. The boat has long sailed.
Trying to get an emotional buy with making reference to the legendary HO name plate. This will suit a late miami owner who is looking to modify their vehicle. There is no boubt this package will be best engineered and the closest thing next to factory.

I have to say the headline is click bait on various news sites. I was excited thinking there was some official GTHO limited built/backed by Ford.
Apart from being developed by former Ford engineers, how different is it to any other upgrade package? |

I'm actually wondering if some of the development for this package was done when these engineers were working for Ford Au and if Ford have any claim on the intellectual property. Cheers Mick |

You would think that the designing of the parts would've been done at Ford but I doubt any of the R&D would've been done considering they say that they still needed a year, and 1,000,000 kms of testing and development to do, to get it ready.

Not sure how anyone can think that this is good value. $25k for an intercooler, manifold and tune is an obscene amount of money for what you get.

25K sunk into a supercharged FG falcon, would make an awesome car. For that you could get coilover suspension, massive brakes , forged wheels and 500KW at the wheels.

I wouldn't consider it for a gt.
Gtf or fgx makes more sense but it's overpriced. Adding to what Mick said I wonder if they have to pay Ford royalties or some kind of licensing fee.

KPM are just as Herrod and the likes - fine Aftermarket companies buying from suppliers, fitting and have x resource and learn as they go. For me Premcar, is/was the Q1 supplier to Ford and known then as FPV. They have gone through the hoops being a Tier 1 supplier, invested deeply, testing is at Ford/OE stds, they are/Were the originators of all things FPV. IMO they know these Falcons better than any of these other companies and thats a big tick for me IF I went for this kit. There is no being "official" as quoted by someone, its not a Ford endorsed/backed product but a system they already had done testing whilst with Ford and finally want to offer it under their own steam. For me with their background they are heads above those others IMO due to their credentials. Yep $25k is not small bikkies but it sure would be done spot on and virtually a Factory set up but without Ford and the finish - thats what I like and yes you could do many other things IF inclined and less $$$$. All to its own as they say.

^^^^ At least one dealer in Sydney has informed their customers of this offering and will be actively involved. Premcar has a lot of credibility.

I just want a simple comparison between Herrod KPM and Premcar. They're talking new castings and triple cooling etc?

Would like to know if they warrant their package and any driveline failures due to it. 25K is a massive amount of money for what we have heard that comes with it so far, but if they warrant the driveline, it'll make it seem less expensive.

I couldn't care less what mods are done or who does them, unless it comes from the Ford factory preferably with a designated VIN it's not a HO in my books.
Just another wannabe. . |
