Pickup Saturday or Funds Available Saturday? Location? Is yours already in stock or on the waiting list?

Pick up Saturday. It's on the dealer showroom floor not registered yet so hasn't been test driven muh more than a few of their staff driving it round the block.

Bank is being a bit slow though so probably will end up being mon or tues next week til I can drive it home.

I'm in melb.

Anyone heard any positive news about their order?

I am still in the dark, after multiple correspondence with my dealer, and have been told second allocation is Mid-Late November, then Feb-March 2014 for third allocation. They cant confirm if my order is on the boat coming. Pretty much no relevant info to my order for the past 2 months. What options do I have? I don't want to be waiting till Feb.

You may need to contact consumer affairs in your state and ask about your options.
They may need a copy of your contract to see if you have agreed to an indeterminate delivery date.

The only white ones I can see are in WA and Vic.
This ones in Vic.

Pretty sure that's a phantom car. It's pretty common for dealers to put cars on carsales with no VIN or specifics. It's there as bait. You enquire and they try to sell you an order...

When I was talking to dealers they told me 12-16 weeks for an order regardless of when you place the order. How many weeks since you ordered Mista?

I ordered through a business around the 19th September, Delivery Date TBA.
Blue, but should put will take either blue, black and white.
Ordered Tint as well which may have slight difference in delivery.

Heard there might be a shipment arriving November.

I wonder where we are in terms of the queue.

I read up on Whirlpool and some guy saying second shipment arrives late this week and his delivery is late next week. So im keeping my ear out for anything. Did they even give you any other details on the contract? or was it just a place holder to say "yes you have ordered one"?

Bascially put an order down and they said they would try to source from regional dealers. They werent able too. Even though on the day I placed an order there was a blue and black one at two different dealers. just couldnt be bothered driving an hour to buy it... my mistake.

Ive followed up and they havent been able to give me any idea as they say they dont know.

Its contract of sale, so I assume that when they have it in. Ill have to rock up with my money and pay the settlement. Ive read the contract terms, it seems strange to have an open ended contract date. Its been awhile since i studied contract law but there are some basic principals like consideration given, I havent paid any money but it maybe considered I gave consent to a liability. Might wait till end of the month then contact the fair trading etc.

I noticed that the cancellation % as being high. Although I "heard" that someone who cancelled their 86 order, just forfeit there deposit with no drama given the demand for them. But I want this car, theres too many 86s on my street!

I think because it has no estimated delivery date, no vin, etc the contract is just a holding document to signify order has been placed, deposit paid. Would this mean once the car arrives, a new contract will have to be signed as the information will have been updated?

Yeah iam not sure. Iam just reading some whirlpool info on 86.

Some of their contracts were altered to indicate waits of longer than 9months.

As you said No vin, no production date, no delivery date. these would probably be essential contract terms.

But my concern is if i pull out, what am i going to buy haha. def not an 86, maybe a focus st.

A frozen white was just added to carsales at ford Frankston. It has a VIN number which is promising so they might actually have one about to arrive off the boat or it already has. Says 0km.

How do you tell if a new car has been added and the VIN on Car Sales?

I set up email alerts for car sales when I was looking for my car. I haven't disabled them yet :p. The VIN is listed in the details of the car.... Sometimes.

Pretty sure it's a legal requirement to list the VIN of any actual vehicle for sale.

Got the tints on mine but that was done by a firm in the dealership and happened after the car was at dealers. Will just mean that after your car gets delivered to your dealer, they may need it for an extra day to have the windows tinted.

I'am surprised the ST's aren't sold out as they did in the UK..

Seems Aussie's prefer RWD under powered sports cars over a practical turbo hot hatch FWD

Hahahaha.

I shouldve clarified. theres supply but theres alot of demand, esp for blue aparently.

I noticed a NSW black fiesta ST pop up on carsales today and then disappear quickly...

I would be interested to know which trim level in the UK is in more demand...
