Ahh South Australians.
Cue for Bango music. Im pretty sure in places like Canada and some US states where it was a serious problem they made incest illegal, even if consential.

Surely this should be illegal? Talk about a shallow gene pool.. feel sorry for the innocent child who's going to be the target of scorn, if not a whole swathe of medical issues.

SA...... proof Tassies can swim.
As for the story on 60 minutes.... I thought it would have been more suited to Jerry Springer.

It doesnt make it right even if you didnt know your long lost daughter or not. The fact that they knew they were biologically related is the issue I have.
I have heard stories of people hooking up not knowing they were related by accident and then taking appropriate measures there after. But to have sexual relations with your relative, and know it despite the time frame of knowing that person is WRONG! I'll give you an example of why I think its wrong. I am actually adopted, my sister was also adopted. We both have totally seperate biological history and families. I view my sister as just that. Even though I could get away with having a relationship with my sister due to not being biologically related, I find it terribly repulsive. I just dont understand why in the above case they dont either, moreso.

Until not too long ago, the entire "Royal Family" was riddled with it! Herein lies another much more sinister meaning of "Blue Blood". Wasn't Anne Boleyn, the second wife of Henry VIII, actually his illegitimate daughter? Prince Charles of Wales and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall are 9th cousins, Queen Elizabeth II is second cousin once removed from Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, and Queen Victoria married her first cousin, Prince Albert The incestuous Royal "Blue Blood" was also seen as the key to long life, or the fountain of youth. Still don't make it bloody right though!

Sort of brings new meaning to the term 'older man'....or even 'keeping it in the family'. At least the kid won't have to give any thought to which parent's surname she'll go by. :

Don't you guys realize? The only reason for a woman to want to have sex with her father is either:
1. The father is a crazy *** psycho who demands it! (Doesn't look like this case) OR 2. The 'Female' of, said relationship, is SO ugly, has SUCH a low self esteem in her own personal self, and is running from fear (that she will never find a man), that she goes to her father and s him, saying she loves him. I bet she didn't want to do it, but its her final choice because its the only guy that would accept her! Funny thing is, that guy, I see him ever tue, and thur, shopping at ALDI! (Sorry, if that is too much info, mods, I wouldn't mind deleting it!) EDIT: By the way, hasn't anybody here been to England? I heard incest is normal there? : {(Just kidding), maybe |

Sam Newman in 1994 said, "South Australia is living proof that Tasmanians can swim".
Food for thought.
