In the whole episode in the tent having dinner, Clarkson says this would be nice with some wine and May pulls out a bottle. Bloody funny the expression on his face.
Thats an old 4wders trick with the tyre bead, nothing really new there. |

For the record Hammond and the dogs end up reaching the north pole about 8 or 9 days behind the trucks. The trucks made it to the north pole in three or so days.

I couldn't get over the bit where the Ex Commando pushed Clarkson into the water. Holy sheet that must have been a shock to the system.

And I love Hammonds comment of "yes roll in the cold snow as that would be much warmer than a big fluffy towel".

What about the toilet seat attached to the tow ball, and then Clarkson driving with May out the back with his pants down. :

The whole show was great but I do feel for Hammond, it pushed him mentally and physically the man looked wrecked in the end. |

the episode on tv was heavily cut down from the original, and curiously enough had a different (and more crap??) soundtrack to it!!
still a good episode. as mentioned there were 3 cars, the hilux jeremy and james were in, a hilux with a canopy towing a trailer, and a black toyota prado. richard, matti and the dogs weren't alone either though, in some shots you can make out people on ski-doo's (camera men but probably a few other people and possibly a soldier - considering the car team had their own soldier for protection) |

and suspension). And for everyone who missed the Polar special, they will most likely bring out a DVD of it very soon.

I'm not bagging the show, there is no question that the Hamster was doing it hard and what they achieved was amazing. |

I think SBS has caught up a bit - they used to be about a year and a half behind and now aren't they about 6 months? Hammonds comeback is on next week. Are they just putting them on more frequently than they are being filmed or are they skipping entire seasons?
