Thing is Australia imported the Alloytec V6 Engine blocks, we tried to cast them here but failed badly and gave it up. the cost was astounding ! USA made a turbo V6 3.6L I think. but why do that in a Holden when the 5.7L V8 was here. I think the cost of a Turbo would not be worth it. You know i asked for a new VS V6 Supercharged ute and the new car dealer went right of his rocker at me ! he claimed they do not go any better ? and the real issue he claimed was that second hand you could never sell such a thing. I said BS ! But i know what he was on about, was from a resale issue, in not making them. He could of been more chilled out tho, i only ran it past him as an idea. to save on fuel ! but they need 95 octane but that was only 2c a L more back then. I am sure he was driving Supercharged V6 on 91 octane as i knew of morons who only ran 91 octane in their XR 6 Turbo's, fools ! |

Yes they were imported. The cast inlet manifold was made in South Australia and it was continual problems.
