LMFAO I thought that was a joke poking fun at FPV, then I saw the www.fpv.com.au URL. What a laugh, Thorpey says it's fully blown! (does look pretty cool though)

Fantastic brochure! I think its ''Fully Blown'' title is just right. I believe if the average joe was to have a look at this they would think its pretty much a race ready, track prepped typhoon!

On the other hand its great to see the ford marketing guru's putting there heads together and achieving another great advertisement/brochure cause its definetely caught our attention.

Though for argument sake how does it compare to the GT R-Spec and how would these two vehicles perform on the track?

I hate the way they make out the suspension is full race spec. Its just a bit of revalving in the shocks for sake. They couldn't have done any less. Wheres the lower stiffer springs, sway bars, better tyres and poly bushes? Look at the effort Tickford went to with the EL GT, they changed all that, including upgrading the bushes and fitting a hydratrak diff. I know the BF is a better place to start than the EL but it seems to me either FPV couldn't be stuffed or most likely they are doing for as cheap a price they can.

Its only $1500 isn't it? Which like I said, you might recoup when it comes time to sell.

From a marketing POV its great, cost them next to nothing to do and makes a limited run. From an enthusiasts POV, we can see through it. But the GT 40th anni sold well enough.

Hmmmmm!

F6 Leather $995, R-Spec Free
F6 Mats $210, R-Spec Free
F6 MP3 $60, R-Spec Free

So this makes the special wheels, upgraded suspension and badges cost $ 235...

Seems like a pretty good deal to me.

Its definately a good deal but "race spec" is just a **** because apart from the revalved shocks nothing else increases performance. It should go further, at least make the 6 spot brakes standard and either put in some springs that are a bit stiffer and lower or a thicker swaybar.

Cant they just option them?

They are in the business of selling cars, not everyone needs to be a record breaker.

Not sure what your reading, but no where does it say "Race Spec" The badging states "R Spec". Nothing to do with Race officially.

Great marketing, white looks hot and the additions are worth the bit of extra cash.

Well the F6 Typhoon is the fastest accellerating vehicle FPV make.
It is also the best handling as it is the lightest and does not have a heavy V8 engine over the front wheels dragging the CofG forward.
This R-Spec version will have more "handling orientated" suspension than the standard model.
So therefore the F6 Typhoon R-Spec is the most "race spec" of all the current model range.

I am sure someone will arc up with "but with a few mods" or "my buddy Habib's <insert model here> does a 10 sec quarter and circuits bathurst in 1 minute flat" but at this time that is the situation.

Marketing, marketing, marketing and if sells FPVs then I am for it.

There seem to be a lot of "I don't like it" or "I wont buy it" posts here but I wonder how many are actually going to buy ANYTHING new from FPV this year?

I, personally, am waiting for the "orion" Force 6 as at this time my current vehicle is still 95% leading edge......

Can't wait for someone to try a warranty claim for their "Fully Blown" clutch.

Exactly, more sales means more money for future development. I dont completely agree with using historic names to flog products; but you can see why they do it. This case though is fine as its actually a new(ish) idea for FPV.

Orion Forces should be a damn fine looking machine. Also I hope the upper spec models get some more fruit as the LWB's are dead which "should" leave a bit more cash. Heres hoping.

So in a way it has, ive seen turbos called blowers before.

Anyone calling a turbo a blower is a knob who most likely doesn't know the difference anyway.

It's good for FPV and sales, but IMO they might as well have used "Full Sick!"

As above Supercharging means any form of mechanical charging, or the process of forcing more air into a motor, Turbo is short for Turbine driven supercharger and they both "blow". Historicly blower has been a slang term for belt driven supercharges, but has been use to refer to turbos.

Not when you can get $5000 discount off a standard one atm.. that makes it $6500 extra plus the extra LCT and GST as dealers arent discounting them.
