Just my own personal opinion.
I reckon anyone with private plates is a bit of a tosser!... Vanity plates is a good descriptor. But I defend this blokes choice in having these plates for his torana, and have signed the petition for him. This is still Australia is it not?? Lot of hipster decisions coming out of Victoria recently. No fishing, No F#&king, No camping, BLM more than ALM. No footy for us West Aussies. And now no number plates that he has already had for years.... (Again just a bit tongue in cheek for all the SNOFLKS) Political Correctness. Im over it |

There was a user on here a while back??
I recall they had 2 cars (or partner duo) with the plates T1TS and AR5E. Spelt a little differently but you get the drift. On Magna's ?? Or 380s?? Were they pulled as well?

I'm more concerned with the use of the stupid U.S. term 'snowflake' to describe someone here in Australia.

For some reason this reminds me of the normal plates that were on my brothers car when he was a p plater. It was unt- whatever the 3 numbers were. Flip a p plate into a d plate and shove it in far enought to be a c plate. He got an absolute serve from his mates religious mum about the unt plate with a c prefix.

WEPN , Chicos, Redskins ..... TRUMP ( lol )
Society has moved on and there are new definitions of What’s offensive or inappropriate. It is what it is. As a democratic society we thankfully have the right to protest and voice opposition. If enough people are outraged, there’s a good chance the decision may be recinded. Hop to it golliwogs!!!

Anyone else remember the claim brought by Naomi Campbell for being called a “chocolate soldier” (and, no, that’s not quite the title of a Bob Marley song)?
I’ve got a set of “vanity plates” but they basically say “good fortune to you” in another language. |

I think the former were pulled, but the latter grabbed.

I can understand personalised plates even if not my thing. Family name, special reference etc
Sorry to anyone on here who has one, but why put vehicle model in Plate when every badge says it anyway? Like down here one is like "NISGTR" - yeah obviously. Why bother? |

I bet they drink kombucha and ride an e-scooter to work in Kew - or take the bus.
If I was running VicRoads anyone who takes public transport to work would be put up against the wall and executed for their crimes against the four wheeled cult I'm running |

I have been through a similar situation about 15 years ago. I had an AUIII XR8, and purchased custom plates 'SEXR.8'. About 18 months after they were on my XR8, I received a letter from Vicroads stating the plates have been deemed offensive and I must return them to the nearest Vicroads office. |

In the UK the term 'wog' is a racist term for a black person - taken from 'golliwog'. Example from the USA - includes golliwogs |

Reminded me of this. People were complaining about this crap back in 2011. She got to keep her plates back then but I bet if someone complained today they will be gone no questions asked.
Being offended over everything seems to have got much more trendy in about 2016. https://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/ne...7a5cec2a60f8fd Quote:
What I don't get is people who have cars that are worth $100,000+ then they have an ugly yellow and black NSW number plate. It costs $75 to get a white and black plate on a new car. Why not just tick that box and make your car look significantly better. So they make you pay a fee to have the plates made, then they lease them to you? Bit of doubling dipping there.
