Thanks mate.
I loved it.......until an old driver changed lanes on Tasman Bridge suddenly in the wet (the Maloo no abs....) and braked hard in a tiny Kia or something - I had nowhere to go so straight into back, and written off as Airbags out. Devastated. I had heaps of guys ask questions etc when drove it as cammed up etc and pretty unique. But considering life now it's not near the problems people are suffering. |

Yep indeed, spent some time on a Black n gold SS back in the day and 40k would find one these days but nothing on two wheels is as beautiful as a wire wheel 900SS imho.

I had the BA T as my daily and the Maloo weekend and potential investment - Old Kia driver ruined that plan hey....!! At least no-one hurt, and as much as I clearly love cars and spend more than I should, the current world gives perspective. |

I like it but had passengers comment on how stiff (It's not modded). Your Audi looks fantastic compared to mine so enjoy! |

You could get your hands on an AMG C36 - one for sale in VIC at the moment for low 20s:
https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/det...-6642605/?Cr=0 I don't mind the look of that, would prefer manual though. |

Thats a very roomy and uncomplicated engine bay for a European car, I do note the Mercedes specific connectors on things though that ridiculous round connector with the twist release. |

$40k might scrape in for a 3.4 porsche cayman.
If not I'll go with Audi: 2016 SQ5 + tune 0-100 5sec, 6L/100 highway, room for dog. Might not get stuck on beach. Or RS5 2012 331kw. Dog can stay at home. Not sure I'd buy from Joe in Melton though.... https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/det...-6596821/?Cr=1 Anyone driven an Audi ? |

Reminds me of a bushman and film maker (?) Jack Absolom who toured around Oz during the 1980s in a Sigma wagon filming documentaries. Driving roads that are likely considered 4wd only these days. Franco I'd have to steal your idea of E34 M5 but also add E39 M5 on the list, a choice down to availability and condition. I'm not a fan of newer Mercedes but V12 twin turbo 460kw/1000nm and 12 second 1/4 mile S65 would be had to pass up Or a 58 Buick. Because Chevs and Cadillacs are commonplace. Hard to beat 1950s-60s American GM styling. |

My top 5:
E46 BMW M3 in manual (8000 RPM straight six please!) Subaru WRX STi version 6 (white, and stock standard, 0-100 in under 5 secs) B7 Audi RS4 screamer - the car containing the 4.2L originally that then made it's way into the R8 E39 BMW M5, supercar slayer back in the day, 300 kW NA V8 Nissan R33 GTR, because they're the black sheep in the family, but I think they look tank, in white, midnight purple, or black

I've always loved the E55 (sorry if wrong) AMG in the film clip (Korn - Got the Life) - I've only ever seen one in person and whilst old now it sounded mint and IMO a very cool older sedan.
