Yeah, I should've gotten some EA guards. White ones at that. Give it that highway patrol look, like the matt black (with white doors) WB stato at uni that I just about threw up on today.

The ovoid ones?

Did you consider NF/NL Fairlane ones?

SVO - forward facing or reversed?

Thanks mate

NF/NL ones have been done before on EF/ELs. They're a very similar shape, and I think the garnish/stripping behind the repeater night need swapping along with the NF/NL repeater?

Or be lazy and superglue :P

Oh sorry, yeah I know they can be done on EF/ELs, I thought you meant EA/EB/EDs. My fault, I didnt realise the post you were replying to was regarding an EF.
Im in the same boat as you, Im not that keen on the AU ones, Id rather something flatter. Ive heard of 04 Maxima ones being used, otherwise ill probably look at VT/VX ones, or maybe get some of a late model Courier or something - if they fit anyway.

any side repeater fits on EA-ED with some modding. there is no shape to fill like on ef/el.

So do they clip in pretty much the same as the AU ones, do they completly cover the hole, and do they fit snug or require glueing? These are definately be my choice, the shape would go quite well with the early E series I think.

They clip in easy as, no gluing and cover the hole properly. Only thing you need to do is change to EL/NL bulb holders or modify yours a bit as they wont go in properly, the bulb will hit the lense. Easy enough to do as they are rubber and you can trim them where necessary.

I know it's nice to have original looking repeaters but this is a bit over the top don't you think? http://cgi.ebay.com.au/EF-EL-XR6-XR8...QQcmdZViewItem

I take it this post is referred to me, so I'll reply

Regarding the "cut-in-half" question, a wombat did that for me. It took the whole bumper off my car in the process

I recently bolted it back on in four places (sides & front), and taped the middle lip back together. The bottom lip simply can't be taped together without looking really, REALLY dodgy, but I can get away with it to a degree with the middle lip.

Sadly, that stato isn't mine. I initially saw a WK stato with the indicators and figured "I must have some!", and then went looking for a pic online of a WK stato for comparison with my EB. That statesman belongs to some LS1.com(.au?) member.

Cheers

-Dave-

PS Wayne, if you read this, when are you fitting yours up? :P

Does anyone know if BA ones will fit an EB/ED without too much modification?

they dont quite hold in.... in all honestly, to fit the BA ones you're best getting an EA guard moulding and cutting a new hole in it so the repeater fits more snug into the moulding, then sticking that moulding onto your guard...

How about making a hole template and glueing that to the rear of your EB-D gurad behind the existing hole?

It's what I should've done with my WK repeaters out:

I figured i wouldn't start a new un-needed waste of space thread.

I was just looking at getting some clear side repeaters for my EF GLI. What and where would i be looking at getting some?

Thanks!
