Anyone who wants a Lotus as their only car either:
a) lives in the city and only drives on weekends and not very far at that. b) has never even sat in one let alone driven one. The Elise is a GREAT sports car. It is VERY rough, VERY spartan and VERY, VERY twitchy. It goes reasionably well but it is the handling and braking that make it stand out. The handling is almost "race car" level meaning that it hangs on until it lets go and when it does let go you are buggered.... The FPV/HSV/XR/SS are sport saloons, they go ok and handle ok, are very forgiving of misoperation (they controllably understeer) and can be driven sedately or aggressively as required. In saying all this my "to aquire" list includes an Exige and when I have a spare $100k I will grab one (probably not this week though ) |

Definently a muscle car with a big lumpy motor.

As a ZH owner, I know all about heavy cars...
Love it - In fact, is there a way of getting more steel in to mine...? If I added another 200kg's, it would give me an excuse to chase some more horsepower... *note: If anyone turns "is there a way of getting more steel in to mine...?" in to a rust joke, I will firebomb their house.

My Ex has a 97 MGF that shares the same motor as some of the Lotus's (1.8 VVC Rover K engine)
It was FUN! as the marketing department at the time advertised it as. Throw it into a corner and it did it, put the brakes on and it stopped!! When or if it lets go around a corner........enjoy the ride. It was a great car but so different to the Falcons where you have to shout at each other because it feels like the passengers are sitting so far away. As long as its fast who cares?

I'd have a Porsche GT3. If i had $150,000 - $200,000 id buy one. Best car ever!! Performance like nothing else. Like a go-kart with doors and a roll cage.

Quick agile sports car please. I'd select my weapon of choice as a Porsche GT3 or going to an extreme for light, agile and quick, a Go Kart on rocket fuel would be sensational.

the small car anyday. i love the comfort of the bigger cars, but when the road gets really twisty, nothing gets close to the feeling of being able to blast through the bends quickly.

Big heavy muscle car. It's more of a challange. I've been for a ride in a 04 WRX. I liked it enough that if I had the $ I'd buy one. APS did a good job on it. It had 210kw@the wheels and drove as if it were 100% stock. Just was a little too loud though.
