That's more like it mate. In the past you predicted 11.8, so thats closer to the mark. If you go too far under people will start doubting your predictions. LoL.
Well done mate. What's next? (or is it watch this space LoL.)

Yeh, good stuff Ratter and Chris. It's a great effort knocking about 2.5secs off a car with a N/A stock donk, just bolting on stuff, changing diff ratio and tweaking the tune. The Ford/FPV techo guys must be creaming themselves. I wonder whether they're doing this sort of stuff behind closed doors. I'd like to see a Boss260/290 go for 300kph. This sort of grunt with the 3.46 or 3.23 diff, they'd have to be in the hunt, you guys south have airstrips to burn I hear, how about it!

Thanks guys.

This car is awesome, or should I say these motors are awesome.

11.763 @ 116.18 mph from an unopened motor WOW.

The car in the past has been run complete minus hard cover and spare (1820 kg + driver), this time exhaust was dropped, tailgate taken off etc and some lighter wheels etc, the sort of stuff you can do if you had a spare couple of hours. This was done to see how far it could be pushed and with a goal of being the first unopened 11, and it was achieved with some great advice and tuning.

The goal of racing my pursuit was to see what a true street car is capable of so my buisness could offer the same results for my customers in the south east suburbs. I wanted to R&D my own car and try not to break things, I did not want to go down the route of R&D'ing a customers car and have something break.

Although all the hard work (physical) was done by me (Pit Lane Performance) I have had a helping hand and advice and dyno useage from Chris at Blue Power and Mick and Frank from APS Frankston.

The car has had a total of 49 passes, 44 passes in the 12's, 1 pass in at a 20 (aborted run) and now 4 passes in the 11's.

The car was taken out last night to with the intention to crack an 11, and to be honest I would have been happy with a 11.99 and then maybe the same to back it up.

The first run it did a 11.939 @115.07 1.757 60'
second run 11.882 @ 115.54 1.757 60'
third run 11.763 @ 116.18 1.669 60'
fourth run 11.817 @ 115.60 1.700 60'

The car has been taken out 5 times and each time has come home with a new or a lower record (and a trophy from the LS1 nationals)

The car is now the quickest unopened Boss
the fastest unopened Boss
the quickest naturally aspirated Boss
the fastest naturally aspirated Boss

Once again thanks to Chris, Mick and Frank and any well wishers from the forums and the track.

Thanks
Mick

For the Purpose of others chasing your time, it should be outlined that your Ute never much inside the cabin, both Factory seats were removed and a plastic light weight race seat was fitted.
I am not knocking your efforts its a ripper of a time, but at some stage someone will be chasing this time, so its best everyone knows were the boundary's are. Remove what you can for weight loss.
Rod copped a heap off stick for removing a head light lens for months later and he never even removed a hard cover from his Ute.
I wouldn't like to see this type canning to anyone came back it detracts from the efforts people put into the cars.
Its job well done to all involved, its going to be a mighty time for anyone to chase down.

The weight reduction issue doesn't bother me if it's not over the top (like a SS Comm ute there last night that must of weighed about 1100 to 1200kg) and safety is not compromised.

Most true drag racing vehicles run minimum weight to achieve there best times, no reason why we can't do this with our daily drivers. Until there are rules of what we can and can't do then its go for it.

I agree totally...
The uncracked LS1 records are run with cars in a similar state so I don't see any issues... but it's always interesting to know exactly what changed.

It weighed about 1340kg with out a driver Craig, and smashed the LS1 un opened record.....as it should with that weight !!!

Well done to APS Frankston and to those involved with the car.

I agree Craig, lets just try and go fast as we all can, thats what i intend to do, its good that we are getting some recognition with the Boss motors now.

Exactly Cam i reckon the old 3 valve might go on a diet for the forums event this weekend.

Was hanging out with Phonsy & DJ last night for a while (they are diehard GM guys) and they were very impressed with Ratters & Chris's efforts last night.

I think we all were.I was Blown away with the performance of this ute.Just goes to show the Quad Cam V8 has great potential. The quad Cam V8 will be in the 10's natural aspirated in the near future and the best part of it it won't sit there for 8 seconds to get it going. :

Hemi Power when are you going to run a 12 in your 290? :
I would be happy to sit there for 12 sec and run a 12 then not run one at all..

I'll run a 12 when i get my new ride : My GT has been tuned by the best so it will run a 12 all day,i have nothing to prove as the Boss powered BluePower tuned cars have the score on the boards. py: My BA GT keeps up with the Clevo that in itself tells the story.
But i love the F6 its a true Muscle car.
