Well The biggest problem I see here is Jean Luke (Wuss) Piccard is the captain of that particular enterprise. He is too Policitcally correct to start a battle. however if it had of been Kirk or the Voyagers Janeway I think the Star Trek vessell would win, but in this case as fore mentioned due to the wussy Piccard The Federation Vessell would win.
Hows that for a nerdy answer that I am sure will cause some contravesy

HP4ME, you make a good point about the technology of Star Trek, but you have to remember, Star Wars was a long time ago. Imagine what their technology would be like in the future, such as in Star Trek. I think the amount of time for R&D would have made this subject moot. However, if we are talking about each ship in it's own time, I still have to take GA Thrawn over Piccard. Steve

stevo let me make another good point....
since the times of the knights of the old republic to the galactic empire, 4000 years had passed, during that time they haven't advanced one little bit, infact they went backwards, sheesh jedi's couldn't evven master their emotions, the whole franchise lacks discipline.... comon man the ewoks kicked their butts THE EWOKS hahaha..... |

Also at that particular point in time there was basically just men on the ground, hover bikes (in a dense thick forest that kept hitting trees) and a few imperial walkers. No star destroyer in that fight so makes that "good point" moot also.

the death star though partially built but fully finctional was providing the forest moon of endor with a force field and could have easily f worderd up the ewoks...
and there is no home ground advantange against galactic empire, when those little fuzzbals, just have bones, spears, rocks and no xr6 turbos let it go, let it go..... I am letting it go, I am so ashamed of myself talking geek like this, I am off to the pub wif me staffy, shoot some pool and get sloshed on rumulan ale... |

It was Endor that was supplying a forcefield to the death star, not the death star giving Endor a forec field. If the empire had of used the fully functional death star on Endor and the Ewoks, it would have rendered the partially built Death Star defencless, therefore that could not have happened either. But I will let it go now.
