Interesting:
http://www.caradvice.com.au/30255/fo...final-verdict/ Ford Falcon XR8 9.82-litres/100km. 235.0kW – at the wheels. 288.8kW – at the flywheel. 6.54-seconds 0-100km/h. 14.72-seconds @ 163.89km/h. 39.75m 100-0km/h. Holden Commodore SS (AFM) 9.79-litres/100km. 204.5kW – at the wheels. 252.4kW – at the flywheel. 6.74-seconds 0-100km/h. 14.80-seconds @ 161.38km/h. 38.79m 100-0km/h. Maybe if FG XR8's get cheap after Coyote I'll take one for a test drive... :-) Here I was thinking an Auto SS would kill me at the lights but a 14.8? Man that's slow... |

The 300c Wagon is a very good suggestion actually - not thought of that. The looks of the 300c niether do it for me or offend me, although the 'image' of the 300c is not quite my bag... Plus it has AFM, and no LSD. And it's getting on a bit. Still, might give it a looksee. |

I suppose Jag do make v8 wagons, if you can consider a Land Rover or Range Rover to be a wagon.

[QUOTE=vztrt]Or your just mixing up slowness with refinement.
Apparently FG XR8's are slow..yet auto v auto the XR8 matched the SS. Yet it 'felt' slower. While the XR6T has had better times around the track the VZ HSV's. No the xr6 was slow. just didnt have the power down low in traffic that i like. The one i drove was the first model that had the turbo, BA i think? No doubt the newer ones go better but it didnt live up to the expectation i had from what i had been told about them. |
