Think you'll find the EVO is slightly quicker stock, regardless of tyres.

Nice mate. Do they call the Liberty GT the Legacy GT over there, like in Japan? I'm assuming you have a Gen4.

I found the Liberty/Legacy to have less lag but I think that is because they have the twin scroll turbo.

Actually they are quite similar in performance I found. The WRX will have the edge due to the weight and suspension tune though but the GT still does the job quite well. Plus you have the goodies.

Legacy is called Legacy everywhere but Oz, someone already had the rights apparently.

Yup Gen 4.

Back on topic

STi and Evo's are both great cars that will nail anything priced even remotely close to them in real world driving conditions, as far as I'm concerned you just cant beat the feeling of AWD acceleration/traction in the wet :sm_drool:

maybe i am mixing up pictures but i'm pretty sure i have seen a concept 380 with the same grill as the evo x. even if i'm wrong it doesn't change my mind that the wrx is more to my taste.

I thought there would be more discussion considering it's a bit different to what is the usual.

I never put this to question because I knew deep down the EVO would get the most votes so not much point. I just didn't know it would hammer this bad :

I must say I found it funny you didn't know the EVO forums, even though you are a mad fan.

Plenty of EVO boys on the WRX forums to stir it up a bit though. It's all in good fun. Plenty have swapped back and forth.

Actually most of WRX boys even say that the EVO is the superior car.

Life is so cruel :(

http://www.isicar.com/cars_item.asp?carid=160

$35k! You would be lucky to get one for $100k here. Then you would have to get it road registerable. I think only 1 is road registered here from what I have read. Just 5 of 400 built (426 I have heard elsewhere) were imported here.

Here is one for sale for $125k. These things cost about $130k new! This is nearly 9yrs old.

Ah good old 22B, a fantastic car.
MITCHAY I have seen two that were for sale in the trading post here im Melb, and they were $39k and $47 each. So you can find reasonably priced ones.

God I would love to have that car...

By the way, I voted Evo. It's a no brainer.

The STI sadly there is no beauty in this beast for me, 80% of them are driven by undesirables you don't even want to make eye contact with is enough to turn me off having one as well.
I agree completley about the STi, however, sad fact is that Evo's are driven by much the same people.

I would never buy either car, but personally I'd choose the STi. Subaru make far superior quality vehicles to Mitsubankrupt and the new 2.5 version has the torque to make Evo's cry. If only we got the full 220kW 400Nm version they got in the USA, rather then out half-a***d 206kW 392Nm effort, the Evo would get slaughtered.

Maybe a replica or an old version STi 2 door coupe. These are the equivalent to the Falcon GT in the Subaru camp IMO so I find it hard to think they were legit.
