Will be interesting to see how it will effect power. Will tuned cars need a re-tune to run on these cleaner fuels? What does taking sulphur out of the fuel effect?

Back in the time Australian one could of thought to just used it's own crude oil but what we have is only a thin oil, so we could not make good engine oil or bitumen etc out of our oil, so we needed to import the other thicker oil and they can use our rubbish for making petrol etc.

Then comes the big guns that dominate and do control such things in the world called Commerce.

jpd80 Getting rid of 91 would make 95 become much cheaper than what it is now. maybe only 5 cents more a L.

Look at the Europe prices and take out the Tax portion etc and see what that difference is at the pump when they only have like 95 and 98 octane.

At the end of the day E10 94 works out the best for me and my car any day. I will not use 91 in it at all as I can't stand to drive it because it becomes such a pain to drive.

Yep, old enough and I also remember even as a kid, the oil crisis of the 70's where oil supply was deliberately restricted...it led to quotas on just about anything made from petroleum based/containing products from fuel to raw materials used in cleaning products to plastics etc...

Yea highly doubt that, they will rip everyone for every dollar they can
