I've owned a 2001 WRX, plus I have a choice of an XR6 and a territory as a company cars.
So a fair comparison for drivetrains. I have owned 3 XR5's.... Without a doubt...WRX through the dirt and on wet roads..Good all rounder. XR6 and Terry...Great for long distance comfy travel.. XR5...My personal choice for a hot hatch..I admit, I fitted a Quaife LSD for more secure cornering as I'm running an agressive tune, but a good fun car overall, and hence why i have purchased 3 of these puppies.I love the twisties, but thats just personal choice.

The poll standing show how clearly biased this forum is because of all the falcon owners here :P
The discussion is good though.

My pref is 4WD! RWD comes second though.
4WD for obvious reasons. And RWD, not a fan of torque steer and helps when youve got 400 kilos in the back. I dont drag race or slide around but that would be two more valid reasons

Voted AWD due to the preamble . but prefer RWD when wet .
RWD & LSD with Traction Control off = FUN FUN FUN . |

I've got another thread idea in mind, might keep it to myself until this poll expires though.

i did contribute mate, i said this was a pointless thread. you've got a forum dominated by people with RWD vehicles. If you don't know the result of the poll before you post it, you must be a little bit "special"...
i'm just wondering how many of the people voting or talking up AWD have actually had/driven one on a regular basis in all types of road conditions??
