Hi mate.
If you can get one of these kits for $4500 landed to your door, with cooler and injectors, go for it. We cannot beat that.
For starters, KenneBell don't make an intercooled version, so I don't know what kit you are talking about, but it is definately not a KenneBell kit!
It might be best you do your homework first, before making statements you cannot back up.

Hi mate.
You CANNOT buy a cooler setup for the KenneBell kit. There is no such thing.
You say you can get a kit to your door that will bolt straight up to the Aussie engine for under AU$4500.
Break it down for me buddy on here now, and let me know how you come to that figure.

Exactly, theres no cooler available for the 5.0 engine with the Kenne Bell Blower.
Also the kits are for Mustangs, so please tell me who supplies a kit that bolts "straight" upto an Aussie 5.0L.....!!

From what i was told the kenne bell kit is around 4 grand and from another company u buy the cooler and injectors...There is a size cooler which works well for el front which you order with injectors for 500 that is how i got the 4500 to your door...The cooler may not be a kenne bell option and i dont know what else is needed to bolt cooler up or if cooler even works with that charger kit....Of course you have costs in fitting tuning etc....The price i got was from my uncle who spends a few hundred thousand each week buying cars, wrecks, etc from the us so his price might be different cos he has deals with a lot of parts places in the us.....

Heres a pic of a kenne bell blower for 5.0 ford.
Now explain to me how that front mount cooler works.

Mate, listen to me, I should know what I'm talking.
THERE IS NO COOLER SETUP FOR THIS KIT, NEVER HAS BEEN, AND NEVER WILL BE, AND THERE IS NO COMPANY THAT MAKES ONE EITHER.
Break it down for me mate, the price that is, on how you get a complete kit for AU$4500 to your door.
Just remember though, KenneBell will quote you between US$600-$900 to send this kit to Australia through their shipping company. You also have your bank charges releated to the way you pay for an International transaction, and the exchange rate that the bank exchanges your money at that time (which will always be below what the current rate is). Once it lands in Australia, customs charge you 10% GST on the total shipment, along with handling fee's/process fee's etc, etc. Once you get the kit, it then has to be redirected to the customer here in Australia. Guess what, that also costs money these days believe it or not! After all this, is the company that is importing these goods expected to do this for you, for free??????
Then, you have the costs of purchasing the extra components to make it work and fitting and tuning. Fitted on a car for AU$4500 with injectors, your dreaming!
So there you go mate, be my guest and crunch your numbers here for me now.
I'm real interested how you come to AU$4500 fitted.

Regards
AGRO.

I think your saying you can get an intercooler that fits the EL but it might not work for the Kenne Bell supercharger?
Is that because the intake is on the opposite side to our Aussie setup engines?
As far as pricing of shipping goes it sounds like your bringing it in on a friends shipment and he is only charging you minimal freight due to the amount he brings in each week?

Has that summed up what your trying to say?

I will help you out here mate.
Don't buy a cooler, because you cannot use it with this kit! It won't work.
If your friend/family member can bring this kit over, and not charge you for shipping, handling or GST and or Custom fee's, go for it mate. As a business, you legally have to declare an import one way or another.
So legally, you cannot land a kit here for sale to a consumer for $4000 as you state.

Postage is alot more than $380 through FedEx Paulie.
You cannot quote prices to the public going off a mates rates or dodgy imports.
You pay 10%GST regardless, then custom handling fee's.
Then, check your bank statements, and see the fee's/charges that are associated with transactions. It all adds up, and this needs to be bought into account when quoting a kit.
I'm not interested in your pricing structures Paulie, as you understate just about everything here on the forums when it comes to dollar wise. You might have your contacts for YOU to purchase goods, and that's fine, but have some consideration for the average Joe Blow when you throw prices around on the forums, that a normal person connot purchase said goods for.
No hard feelings with this post either mate, it just needs to be explained.

Regards
AGRO.

Distributors like BPR pretty much have to sell at the price KB says, yeah they do get them cheaper than the average guy, but think about it, you buy it in the US something goes wrong and u have to send it back ur out, here u get warrantied by them and u deal with someone in Australia. thats just how it works, for instance Herrod pays US$200-odd for the SCT tuners sells them to distributors for around $550, and to the public for $700 u pretty much pay for the ease of things and having Aussie warranty.

At the end of the day ,BPR are a Distributor and is a privately owned company that operates on profit. If you want good advice, great install, and a warrantable product, you pay the advertised price from the Distributor.
I do not see the value of threads being started to insinuate that people are getting ripped.
If you are happy with your "deal" go for it ,but you are asking for trouble starting threads like this, particularly in the Sponsors own particular section.

This thread was started to inform people of the kit and to gain some exposure to the general public. The thread was a guide only. At the time it was started, the UNDER $6000 was stated to accomodate the exchange rate at the time, and to allow for fluctuations with the exchange rate.
If you cannot understand or accept this, don't buy one.
American based kit prices are dictated to us by KenneBell themselves.
If you have any issues regarding pricing of these kits, PM me, Chris or Theo, so this thread can stay clean, especially of misinformed info.

There are 2 types of people that will buy these kits
1 will want to buy a kit and have peace of mind that they know they will have back up support and warranty with bluepower and for this you will need to pay a higher price.
.
2 the person that wants to save a dollar and buy direct from KB and that person will have no support and back up and in my mind i would rather have local support no matter what the cost.

Local support although some may argue is what is needed, we fitted a blower kit prior to christmas with no problems , the car went to nsw for christmas and developed a problem.
We had the car taken to one of our tuners who could not work out the problem. It was then taken to city ford and after many hours it turned out that the 2 bar map sensor was faulty. This part we bought from Ford spare part initially for the supercharger kit and failed.
The cost to replace the and diagnose was nearly $800.00 and i paid the bill and my customer was not out of pocket
We now have lost money on the job but the main thing is that we supported our customer

The point i am making here is that Bluepower need to make money on the kit to allow for any type of problem that may happen and to give the customer the support that is needed.Buy the kit yourself from the USA and you are on your own.

I dont feel that it is right that Bluepower need to justify the price of the kit.

That is right bluepower don't have to justify the price of the kits especially when this thread said the price is LESS than $6000.
When I was researching my kit I rang kenne bell in the USA and they refused to sell me a kit as I was in Australia so I don't know how these people are getting them to send them here.
Kenne bell told me to ring bluepower and I spoke to paul (agro). He gave me a price (he didn't know I was a member here) and I sat down and worked it out and it worked out that importing one from the US was going to cost me more then getting one from Bluepower.

I don't really like to see people come in to sponsors threads and ask for any sort of price justification. It’s rude in person and it is rude in writing.

Dealing with Australian business helps everyone. If you don’t, one day they won’t be around and everyone loses.

By all means ask if that’s the best prices, you would be a fool not to, but the way this has gone down- well it’s a bit on the nose for me. Not what I would call respectful.

Your the one going on about the kits being overpriced.
I have bought one of these kits off of bluepower and I was more than happy with the price and like I said I couldn't get one from America cheaper anyway.

For the cost difference its not much in the big picture and if u have an issue u deal with it locally and not someone over sea's, which WILL BE A PAIN IN THE BACK SIDE!!!!

Resurrection!

XH5LWEPN how hard did you find it to install. Can it be done at home?, any special tools needed? what other parts not included in the kit were required?

and on a more stupid note, why can't this kit be intercooled >_<
