i work at a supermarket so naturally this time of the year is hectic, but guess what..i only get 10-15hrs a week, and work nights so i miss most of the rush etc. But working so little is making it hard to pay the bills and buy presents :(

ive been off work for 1 week, and go back day after boxing day. Im a supervisor for one section of Connex's Infrastructure branches. Depending on whether those thieving b*stards want to pinch more copper of the railway lines will determine how busy I am. But I am hoping for a quiet one sitting in my climate controlled office while I get my workers to bust their a*se's working.

Yes, sadly were not making anymore 6cyl's for at least 4 weeks. Then we'll start ramping up on the ORION builds, then we'll run both then only one. So I have to relax and have fun for 4 / 5 weeks before the mayhem begins.

Yeah it's pretty quiet around my office at the moment. But that's only because the factory just finished moving to new premises last week and my office is still at the old factory along with 2 other guys, and thats it lol. It's like a Friday arvo all day every day.

But as far as the industry goes our production has dropped off quite a bit, but I'm very busy. I have to do new drawings and plan jobs to be started because half the boilys go on holiday after Christmas, so stuff has to be done beforehand. Plus they are still fabricating new plant and infrastructure for the new factory so production isn't in full swing and everything is disjointed management wise. It's a real mess.

I'm on 4 months hoilday from working at Woolies (though that is just about up, so I need to get cracking on my resignation...) and since schools break up for the year on Friday the bus driving will slow down after that.

I'm working for Godfreys vacuums in the warehouse at the moment, and it has been insanely busy. I think they're trying to get most of their new stock in before christmas, so it's coming in quicker than it's leaving. Needless to say, they are low on space, running short of pallets, and to top it all off, they have just brought in a new system of product codes that increases the amount of paperwork required, and makes everything more difficult.

Work is flat out at the moment, I am in the building inspection and pest control industry (awesome job, love it, not as bad as it sounds). Our biggest clients are the defence forces, and we do all the bases round here (army and raaf), so we're doing a lot of big projects while they are on holidays. That and with all the changeovers, we have to inspect all the homes that officers live in when they dont live on base, and there's around 400 of them in Wagga. Busy time, but the boss is great (work with him every day), and is shouting me a trip to Melbourne for the weekend in the new year as my xmas bonus. bewdy!

Busy as usual here. Waiting for the local clowns that want to go away over xmas and leave their car servicing till the last minute. Looks like we have to squeeze another ED headgasket in somewhere this week, along with the usual "my air cond isnt cold" and "my brakes are making funny noises" that we get.
