Is not the venerable Louisville one of the best looking prime movers of all time.. Definitely a big favourite for me.. Our local fuel tanker agent had one for yonks..Was bright red with some scrolling on her . Was in a roll over once , was fixed and done a ton more work before being retired. Well in excess of a million clicks I believe . Dear old girl she was .

I love the Gt40 as much as anyone, but it's as much as a Ford as the Benniton Ford F1 that Schumacher won his first championship in.

Not that bad Mercury.. Iirc that little Ford V8 that powered Schumacher’s first title, beat the so called superior Renault V10’s that powered Williams, and the V10 Peugeot powered McLarens in 94.. Geez Ferrari were running V-12’s.
That little Ford Cosworth was a giant killer in it’s time...

The lola wasn’t even close to being finished. Ford took the bones and turned it into a winner. By the time they were finished it was pretty much all Ford. I doubt anything much left in it was original lola.

I like our Mustangs.
Not being nasty but I find underwhelming (BarraT still kills it!).....look fast. The GT350R special....... Last edited by MercuryT; 10-04-2020 at 09:09 PM. |

I'm going all non australian here because there was another thread about the best falcon before anyway (xp coupe or xw ute for me)
So for the best fords ever internationally: I like the late 60s ones best 69 mustang mach 1 galaxie (Beats fairlane for me for one simple reason - they raced the galaxie and it was epic) One not from the 60s: gt (the new one, not the 60s lola based one. E: I love the original but it's not like anyone here could drive one. The larger new one had the awesome looks but was something the everyman can drive) Last edited by oldel; 11-04-2020 at 02:58 AM. |

And i have a barra. The Mustang GT is also faster than the 350R. Look up the figures if you don’t believe it. It’s been proven numerous times. |

Probably wouldn't say no to a 32, 33 three window either.

It didn't "feel" as quick to me as stock F6 let alone. But fair enough, maybe it's deceptively faster than I thought as I haven't looked at times.. |
