As a Commonwealth employee, I can assure you that there are many redundancies/redeployments going on. We lost three people last week and are losing another three by end of July. It's a worry....

I think it's a fairly universal event with many a different name. Most of us have done it at some stage of our careers. Those with mortgages probably more so than others.

sorry to here mate im in the same boat only i left
i left my job in january this year me and the boss had a fight alot of words were said and i walked
im still out of work (no licence)
im a trade qualified retail butcher with 7 years experince in the abs and butcher shops

Fair call, I try to get along with the boss, (you may as well have him as a friend rather than foe!!!) but I will not back stab my workmates, nor spend my R&R with the boss or upper management. Hence my climb up the ladder, came to a shuddering stop. I just do my job, try to get along with my workmates & spend my R&R with my family.

mate thats the best idear
imo get ya self a job that pays about $20 an hour 38+ hours a week
stay out of the work place crap do ya job go home simple
oh but if it was that easy

Of course the upside (if there is such a thing when put off) is the payout.

From memory it's about one weeks pay for every year worked.
