MPH for sure, but when talking about power, KW sounds better. IMO

MPH, even though I have grown up with metric. For drag racing, its the quarter mile and mph... although I am used to rwkw and not rwhp.... bizarre!

I think the car mags do KPH and 400m.... never seems quite right to me. But then, their times never seem quite right to me, and they measure it all differently, with a passenger and half a tank.... BAH. Need to get them out and do some real drag racing!

Hehe.

.
400 m is not the same as 1/4 mile, it is slightly shorter.

Talking HP or KW

See, it all depends on what car you're talking about. I can relate to 300 or 400HP XY or XA for example, too strange quoting KW for these great machines. When we're talking a BA XR8 or GT though it has to be in KW, it's what we're used to.

Yeah for old muscle cars, I can relate to HP alot more, because of the American influence, alot of old school Aussie cars have been attached too, but cars such as Skylines, SSs, Supras, XR8s, EVOs etc sound better in KW.

Thats right, that was kinda my point... they use a different distance/measurement for something that we compare our times to. Ie, its not quite an accurate comparison.

Bwahahahahaha.

One question? Compare them in the sound or power context????

It should be MPH for sure. On another side note bit off topic. Up here in QLD i heard a rumour that the 1/4 mile was going to be reduced to 360m or something?
