I like the GTIRs as well. It was either one of them, a 300zx, or the Monty. Than the loan people said it had to be less than 7 years old and not imported. So the decision was made. I think I made the right one.

I have always and will always like the S15's.
I have come very close to buying one on two occasions now. I will probably end up buying one someday as they look good, handle well and go reasonably well with minor modifications to the engine and are good value for money. I couldn't care less if it is Japanese because the people that bag the Jap cars have obviously never driven one on a decent road and are probably too narrow minded to ever do it. Meh, your loss. |

Have driven a couple of mildly worked GTi-Rs ... damn ... these things do haul. (Especially when they are putting out in the vicinity of 350kw at all 4 wheels.)
I am not closed minded like many of the people on this forum (sorry but it's true). There are some very nice (extremely quick) imports out there ... and there's also a lot of crap riced up ones as well. Don't get me wrong ... I love my Fords ... but I also have respect for a well modified import (even have the respect of fairly stock ones as well). As for an EA giving a GTi-R a hard time ... it was one of 2 things ... the GTi-R sounded like it had mechanical issues ... or the driver of it couldn't drive for peanuts (I suggest the latter though).
