You don't have to involve the union at all, but if you are a member they can give you all information required.

Saves a lot of leg work, and that's one of the things you join a union for.

On one has to know, no need to butt heads with your employer.

Ouzo, you are still a twit, so you've got 25 years of complying to the bosses....in the first post there had been 5 changes of hr personell...read and anylyse before putting mouth into gear...as I said if the hr mob had been upto speed then it would not have got to this.

No wonder I fought tooth and nail with hr when I was a union sec.

update . persistance is bliss . she ended up with 7 weeks long service leave . @ 3 days / week which she can take at will.

one way to prove your wife worked there from 1995 is all her payslips and bank statements which say she got paid... im hoping u keep those??
