Get one and install it if you must, but realise that anyone that is not a 16-22 year old try hard is going to think you are an utter toss bag.

Sorry, I know the truth hurts.

The only cars monster tacho's look good on is Old school drag cars.

There is nothing wrong with a monster tacho on a 10sec car but seriously guys put these things on all number of pus cars inc Daihatsu Charades.
Sad but true and it's got a certain stigma attached to in aswell as the unneccessary attention from cops and robbers.

Save your cash!!

Mate, I used to have a BMW, that's after owning an EB like yourself now I've got a Telstar Tx5 V6... which is pretty average but get's me around.
I'm back on this forum because I'm buying an XR6 Turbo in the next week for work..

I not trying to bag you but you can't post up asking for opinions and then get shirty when people tell you what you don't want to here.

The reality is, as I posted before, you might think a monster techo is cool and if you do good luck to you.. but everyone else will think your a moron and the police will take one look at it and defect you for installing a guage on a safety piller.

:

Point of this thread wasnt to gain yours or anyone else approval about getting a monster tacho, I just wanted to see what the forum members thought about it.

Its pretty clear about 95% of people dont like them, and thats what I expected.

I wasnt getting shirty, there's ways of saying things, and my reply to you was the same as your answer to me.

Okay well Im all done in this thread! Thanks for the replies and opinions.

mate! when you ask people what they think of your 'thoughts' as you clearly did in your first post than chances are you will get people telling you what they think!!

The problem with your theory is that the vast majority of car enthusiasts out there know that your 5.0lt Falcon already has a tach and the monster tach IN ANY street car is a total wan_k!

I've seen a red LED put in the instrument cluster that lights up when to change gears. How do you set these up? They'd be useful, neat and hidden without looking crap like monster tachos.

Wat if you dont put the tacho on the A pillar? And somewhere else where its not noticeable from the outside, like on the dash fascia behind the wiper switch? Is that considered ok?

It's your car bugger what anyone else thinks! If you like it get one, I like them (had one in the EA remember) IMO they look pretty tough on the A piller.

Sorry guys, what i mean is don't get all stroppy because people don't like your idea. Ask for opinions on a public forum but at the end of the day don't crack the shits because they don't agree with you, because in the end it doesn't really matter what they think.
