thanks for calling my mate a chump, however...

packing stuff like mainboards etc, not only do you risk damaging them...but it also increases your luggage if you were to be packing them properly so as to protect them...

he will be staying for like 5-7 days...and we'll be going to a LAN...I don't really think he'd want to be buying a new case and having to wire it all up in the day that he is here before the LAN either....

then there's the fact that $20 is going to get you the shittest possible PC case available in terms of Cooling etc, which with PC's like these is a major factor. but thanks for your suggestion anyway.

at the end of the day, if Aus post will do it for ~$20, its easier to do it that way

Nothing wrong with being a chump, if it wasnt for chumps the service industry would die completely.

Briefcase, carry on, sit it on your lap, it aint rocket science. I flew from Australia to Tokyo to Canada with the contents of my computer in a briefcase in the overhead compartment. Its not that hard. Piece of foam, screwed up newspaper, a hankie, its not hard to pack components into a briefcase.

Takes an hour, 2 at the most to setup a new PC from parts. Longer if you dont have any opposible digits.

Yep, they are so very careful, and never throw or drop packages, and your HDD's wont get jarred, and your CD-Rom's absolutely wont get misaligned. Sounds like a winner to me.

No he is someone with a lot more half a clue trying to offer you some assistance but as usual you Dez are to stupid to bother thinking about the help and advice offered.

Maybe, just maybe Sourbastard might have done a lot of PC logistics as part of his employment, and maybe just maybe he may know what he is talking about. Anyone with a clue would have taken the advice on board!

ur killin me mate. ur hillarious. do you need to read this thread? you already stated how much of a waste of space it was, yet you had to check back to see how it went?

I took sourbastards advice on board, just as i took everyone elses on board, except yours of course knowing that you are a childish moron with too much time on his hands.

I do not have to take anyones advice, i just asked for some info. sourbastard may well know a shit load about this, but he isn't the 1 having to do it....so he may not know what my mate considers a good idea.

you add nothing to this thread. just as you add little to most other threads, other than a pointless comment about someones individual post, rather than the actual topic. :
