Reagarding your tyre spin.. What width slick are you running. Last I heard it was 10inch. Is there a reason you cant fit a wider Slick to stop tyre spin??? I am currently running 315's under the rear off my ute, that equates to 12.5 inches.. I could fit 13.5" if I tried harder... |

So so close Chris but the track just wasn't there last night. I would say that any other night or tomorrow at Heathcote the 9 was there for you no question.
No question at all ... you will run a 9.

Well done Chris that sure is a hand full of car you have there, If it didn't try to drag you off the track you would have run a nine for sure.
Those Kennie Bell blowers are not a bad thing at all, even without the gas. Nice work keep it up. |

AND it's still a stock bottom end with only Billet Oil Pump Gears being fitted. I'm just thinking, spec built engine - big rubber - roll cage - air cond, door trims and other interior removed the thing should run 9.5's.....incredible. Cheers CC |

Well done Chris so close...i reckon if you can get into the 10.0's then a 9 is most certainly achievable in current setup with the right run...only another 5/100th's

We do know that anything above 10-12 psi is dangerous for your rods and pistons but so far this one is hanging on. |

What a street weapon!! Pick up the mail in the morn and run a 10 flat in the evening
I used to think if you could run a 10.05 why cant you chop that bit off easily, but after running a 11.04 the other nite, it was tough trying to loose that last .04 of a second to get the 10?? Well done guys, go get that 9.

Congratulations Chris, Awesome time buddy. How hard is it for you to have to take horse power out of the car to make it get down the track faster. :sm_headba
Maybe you should take the old ute up to willowbank where I hear the track can handle more hp being that its so sticky. Great work mate, that 9 will come soon. :

Hey guys, congratulations thats an awesome effort, gr8 to see so many tough fords out there running the numbers.Hi Craig i actually spoke to you on the phone about 18 months ago about our 3v fairmont ghia up here in brissie. Although we have now sold that car i certainly do miss it. We are now looking to sell our tornado and get back into a V8, so some how i think i will be talking to you guys again!! Has your white ute and Chris's black ute been in a magazine yet? I would love to see more photos and read more info on these cars they not only look the goods but have the numbers aswell.Being in brissie makes it hard to see them in the flesh unfortunately. Keep up the good work guys look forward to hopefully talking to ya's again soon!

Every PFM or Street Ford i see has a XR6T with 4K worth of engine mods, some brakes, lowered and some flash wheels, they are nothing compared to some of these cars that are getting raced, yet we get a turbo shoved down our throat every issue... |

FPV8U i totally agree, I may have had turbos before and have one at the moment but i am still keen to get back into an 8. I'm amazed to hear that no magazine has covered these or any of the tough v8's out there for that matter it's very ordinary. I use to be a subscriber to both magazines mentioned but now wait for something of interest or different, new or old, as long as it's a ford i'm happy. Maybe we should all get together and pm these magazine guys and tell them of such cars?

Now here's were I laughed so hard I near choked.. Mr RACQ: "Man, you don't see to many Ford V8's these day's. All the Pussies have gone and bought those turbo things" Me: "Yep" There sure is something special about V8's.... And knocking off a 6T makes it even sweeter... |

Yes mate, have a new NA setup to test, hopefully we can get it ready in time, i cant put any business time into the car at the moment, and family taking up personal time, otherwise we'll leave the blower on.
Chris
