Regardless of what the car looks like or drives like they will still sell shed loads of them because of fleets getting good resale values, VY/VZ 'dores are proof of that. We all know Falcon range is a better drive, the awards prove it, seat of the pants confimrs it, but for some reason we the superior intellects can't work out why they are the preferred choice and unfortunately I beleive it will never change.
My two cents.

Not only the tooling, but all closure panels are made by them.
They have a greenfield site at Holden's Supplier Park.

I think it looks alright.

Can't wait to see it with a Supercar bodykit, etc on it.

Cheers,

Default Battery Location

What you don't see in the pictures is that GM stuffed up the under bonnet packaging so the car will be released with the battery located in the boot. Holden are working on relocating the battery to the engine bay which will be a running change after VE has been released.

Just for once I would like to see a new Australian car that doesn't look like a mixture of other cars. I personally think that the BA was probably the closest to getting near that in recent times.

You mean the BA which has the same doors as an AU e The BA was a pretty safe design, it had to be after AU. The VE looks very promising to me and can only improve the breed.

What's it matter if the bat is in the boot? For $30k, they should put in a gel bat anyways....

Good pics up close. I think them rims remind me off the VX SS more or even the CV8-Z's.?
Something about that bonnet looks fake like it's not the VE's finished one. But them lights look pretty bright for the day.

Jesus its look better....

This battery in the boot story is a hard one to believe. CAD takes forever, and I would be very suprised if they would stuff up something as major of the electrical supply!

Maybe they are going to use it with marketing? "Race weight distribution" or some crap.

Either way I wont believe until I see it.

Anyone noticed the position of the exhaust? It's on the same side that Falcons and 380s exhausts come from.

Not saying it's the new Falcon!

Maybe the exhaust system has been completely redesigned for the VE... Finally Holden have seen the light and are copying Ford! lol

Wow, Chrome/polished wheels standard.

Looks like the front will continue the styling of the VZ grilles.

I'm still tipping that this is just a Exec or Berlina.

I wanna see the Calais and SS.
