I'll either have to find someone who knows the route you are talking, Todd, or get you to show me where you mean, a little unsure, will have to crack out the maps when I get home. Pity you couldn't be leading the way!

Lotsy,

How are you? Good point re:school hols but it hopefully won't be that busy.

Tim, I'd be happy to lead the way but the route shouldn't be that difficult to follow. I'd have to have a passenger with me to maybe make it easer. i.e. someone to navigate. I'll pretend I'm Tony Gardemeister!!!

The 9th sounds good to me.

Fast Eddie.

Hey Guys,

9th of April is fine with me, i agree with Teki ( For once ), that homebush would be a great meeting place as it very open and easy to get to. Also how long will the cruise go for??

Tim,

Let me know when you have sorted your starting point, sound like a few might be keen to have happy snaps at Stadium Australia before departing for the day (there are some great spots around the Olympic Park for pics with the Venues as great back drops).

Either starting point I can map out the way through Castle Hill to Dural then to Berowra Waters......

Cypher - you are more than welcome to come, but we can do a cruise south next time to make the distance less for you at some stage!

If everyone wants to have the start point at Homebush, we can do that, it is a pretty good place for photos I will admit. Todd - I'll take you up on your offer in that case.

Homebush would be a good variation on the usual starting spot. It would also present some very good photo oportunites.

From Homebush – Stadium Australia

Leave Olympic Park complex and turn left onto Centenial Drive and follow, it becomes Ryde Road but stay on it, at Top Ryde you will turn left onto Blaxland Road its after the shops and council chambers, follow Blaxland Road to Epping, go up over the bridge (a left then right), you are now on Beecroft Road and follow Beecroft Road to the end.

You are now back on Pennant Hills Road. Turn right at Pennant Hills Road and at the top of the hill turn left onto Boundary Road and then follow the signs to Dural. From Dural follow the signs to Berowra. Easy.

Will grab maps off www.whereis.com.au for you tomorrow at work and email a proper guide for you.

If you start at Thornleigh you come out of the Maccas lights turn right and follow Pennant Hills Road up to the Boundary Rd turn off.

sorry one thing, boundary rd end at new line road, turn right into newline then it becomes Old Northern....

Tim,

This all sounds great! I'll be there. I've given the Focus it's first really good exterior clean today and it's come up a treat. Now I'll have to do the inside too.

I'm sure I have a spot on the side of my 'chair for a Club sticker!!

Fast Eddie.

Ok, there are a large number of fordlaser.com guys who want to cruise that weekend, and we're sorting out a good combined cruise, but it will be along the lines of what we have already, which stands until further notice. At worst they will be minor changes to accomodate larger numbers of vehicles.

If all else fails, we will be having our cruise as planned and even then, some fordlaser guys will be at ours anyway, it seems.

From this thread, expressions of interest have been:

Timmeh
Mitch_lx
MISTA FIESTA
Teki04
Fast Eddie
RichieMK6
Pieoter (maybe)
lotsy (maybe, even passengering?)
WASACL (if he has the day off work)

Early expressions of interest at fordlaser are as high as 17 but you know the way things go, not everyone is able to attend.

Fast Eddie - gonna need you there to keep these Focus numbers boosted! The Fiestas are taking over!

Just keeping everyone updated.

Hey, i think photos on Australia Avenue would be sweet.... i usually park my car in the middle of it at an angle and take pics (the road is like 25m wide, maybe not 25.... but its huge)

its evolution Tim, when the new Focus gets here it will cycle back to an influx of Foci......becasue then the Fiesta will be just an old clapped out car compared to the new Foci
