if they are only going to make it for 2 years why go to the effort of a redesign, i would think they will just add some tech like they have in the focus and might change bumpers, grille, headlights and bonnet shape, i just can't see them going to too much effort. I bet they only show the front panels and when we get it late 2014 the back end will be the same as the FG
still i bet it will be a great car as long as they market it, maybe 0% finance on all base falcons and show us all how good the EB motor is compared to cars like 2.5l camry and 3.0l commodore

Yeah I wouldn't hold my breath on sweeping changes. It'll most likely be like a mark 3 than anything. Redesigned front and rear bumpers of course but I don't think the money exists for massive changes :(

I see you guys are mentioning it as the "FH" .. I thought they might have given it the "FF" moniker . . "Final Falcon"? Just a thought.

Just another sneaky plan for its demise..... Lets reveal details and pictures of a car we aren't going to put on sale for another 12 months... Whats that going to do to FG2? LOL!
Graziano is a smart man!

Auto journalists are naturally going to make more errors than fans of a particular product. They have to write about a variety of products, people here can scrutinize them only on one product.

Indeed. It will totally destroy it. They were supposed to be bringing out some feature and content upgrades for the FGII by now to help it along but that obviously got chopped to help staunch the flow of red ink...

We really need to start having some kind of reference for these twits that report..I bet half of them have no degree to speak of, no real auto-background..they are nothing more than bloggers.

Well that's what we've been on about with that ******** Dowling for the past 6 months, that Ecoboost "lemon" article at the beginning of the year for example was a disgrace, but it seems these people can say whatever they like with no facts, references or the like and be accountable to no one because they just fall back on the old "we don't make the news, we report it" spiel and apparently it is all ok.

Its a sad state of affairs I must say, but who would police it, then who polices the police...we just need people power to ignore them.

Im not so sure, with very little to loose sales wise I think this could be a good move so people think twice about their car purchase until the FH comes out. Aimed at possible VF buyers I'm guessing.

I don't think anyone is advocating a "policing" stance, but for arguments sake with Mr Dowling, if you took to Twitter to challenge what he was saying and call him out on factual accuracy or whatever, he would just block you. But his twaddle would still get published in every News Ltd online and paper publication nationwide whilst they were suppressing criticism of his articles. How is that reasonable?

At 500 per month, you might as well call it the LTD (for Limited) instead of Falcon.
*PS I'm aware LTD stood for Lincoln Type Design. Regarding GT, would that mean the last GT made will be a FALCON GT (as opposed to an FPV GT (with no Ford or Falcon badges on it anywhere)? Small distinction, but a distinction nonetheless... |

Meh, Ford is controlling costs with having 12 down days a month, we've seen them operate like this before
and even though FBT change was a kick in the guts, I doubt Ford will bring the plant closure forward. Funds for FH (and Territory) is basically spent with field reliability and evaluation starting later this year so no doubt, Ford wants to recover revenue off a refreshed Falcon.. |

A bit depends on the election. If the Libs get in the FBT changes won't go ahead, and sales may come come back to where they were the month before.

Somehow I don't think this car will come anywhere near a lot of expectations. It should make interesting reading next week though :

I would say senior management are very frustrated and may not be interested in dealing with a govt that pulled the rug out from underneath them. |
