Anyone know what this Rip Curl utes will look like? I know they get and I quote... "Extras include 18'' alloys, prestige sound system, MOMO steering wheel, Rip Curl waterproof seat covers and Rip Curl decals."

I take it they are just the standard XR8 alloys... but I was just curious about the decals....

Ford have really done some positive things with their small cars. This is where the growth is and Ford need to be a bigger player. Expanding the Focus and Fiesta ranges with numerous new models and engines is smart thinking. Adding a Mondeo to the growing medium segment is also smart. Ford finally are starting to head in the right direction in the small and medium segments, and adding special value packs for the large vehicles will help keep the numbers ticking until Orion arrives.

Went to MMS, only decent thing at the Ford stand was the Mondeo, everything else was there over the last couple of years. The Camaro at Holden looks HAWT!!

Pedro, you’ve beaten me to it. Cuey, do you work for Ford?

Would this be the same Mondeo that the headlight assembly costs around $1100 to replace and a tail light assembly that costs around $800? Any wonder these pieces of junk cost so much to insure. Cuey, if you are so in love with these Mondeos, go out and buy one. Better still, try and sell one.

If this is the future direction for FPV they may as well shut the doors now.
Ford’s attitude to their customers is why I’ll probably never buy another FPV.

Here is an idea,

Cut you bitching and moaning.

Head on down to your local dealer and a buy a Ford. (and no I am not in anyway linked to FoMoCo or it's dealers)

That will help

We will add anew one this month TT Ghia or F'mont Ghia still debating which.

Before you contemplate buying a new Fairmont Ghia, I'd suggest you check out the second hand values.

if ford didnt treat there customers like **** they would get more posivite comments, if you cared to read the threads on this site you would prehaps have a better understanding of why people bag them out all the time. most of Fords employees couldn't care less about you once you have brought a car from them. I love fords, but from the salesman and the service i have recieved it has left a bitter taste in my mouth, thus is why if asked about my expericences i will share them honestly, now I think if ford cared about its customers they should deal with them correctly, none of this its within spec, They all do that bullshit. Its time for ford to pull there heads out of there asses and listen to what people have to say. "send them a nice e mail" **** off why should I.

This is so funny. To all the people telling the baggers to shut up (Me included) Have you noticed that most of the people complaining actually are owners of new or near new Ford's and FPV's? The people telling them to shut up (according to their sigs) motor around in e-series etc.

I have owned both EA and AU (new) and Explorer and put up with what came with them. You can make fun of that but also consider that if people like me didn't there wouldn't be a Ford Aus right now. I think I have shown my loyalty and will not repeat down that path again. FORD YOU ARE BEING MADE AWARE!!!! THE CHOICE IS UP TO YOU!!

PS Lots of hugs and kisses (I hope I didn't hurt anyone's feelings)

PSS I still think that H*lden is shyte and can't understand that if we all believe that they are. That we continue to compare Ford to them? It is easy to compare to an lesser product and say look how good we are. Comparisons should be made to benchmark products. But I gues right now we do have to look up to H*lden....

The car I or anyone happens to drive does not validate ones opinion/comment.

I agree with what you say, but more often than not people have expectations waaay to high. Thats not a bad thing, just not realistic, at all.

The car you drive does have something to do with your opinion. Unless you have purchased new recently and experienced newcar sales and service you don't have the same feelings opinoin as someone who has. Does that sound logical. Like someone saying that BMW's are shyte without ever having driven or owned one? (example only)

This also has nothing to do with expectations but comparisons, look around and see what alse is on the market. I am a FORD person otherwise I would not be on this site and probably be driving something else.

I know what you mean, but Ive gone through this before, but there are many many ways in which you can experience cars, complete ownership is not a prerequisite (sp?).

Just because someone has an opinion, doesn't mean that they should provide a CV. You can tell if someone doesn't have a clue, and you know what, even some new Ford/FPV owners fall into this category.

I'm surprised at how much people hate Ford dealers. Not sure what dealers exactly are problematic however...

Since I was younger my parents have owned 8 brand new Ford's.

The dealers involved were:

Etheridge Ringwood
Passlow Warrnambool
Sunshine Southport

In each instance, every car has been maintained correctly, had all issues sorted and in every instance the customer service has been impeccable.

Perhaps some of you should try those dealers if you're in the area...

No..?

What would be so wrong about seeing a product mix provided by FPV?

Im happy with my ford, and im happy with how they compete in the market.
I've only ever had problems with one dealership, i fixed that, i dont go there now. I have only two ford dealerships within two hours of were i live, and i now choose to go to the one in a small country town, very good service and they actually listen to you when you talk to them.
Sorry if i went off topic....

Everything.

People who buy FPV vehicles generally don’t want to see the same badge on a lesser Ford. In my opinion, some piece of junk Fiesta or Mondeo doesn’t deserve the right to have an FPV badge on it.

How many FPV vehicles have you purchased in the 22 years you’ve been on the planet?

What the heck does that have to do with anything.

The Fiesta XR4 and the Mondeo ST220 have great ability, the mondeo is a lovely bit of kit.

I see no issue with FPVing them, just as HSV has done with the VXR. It a nice way for some people to get into the brand without the big bucks, or other issues with larger cars.

It makes sense, and its always good to have a hero car in your line up.

Why don’t Ferrari make a zippy little hatchback then? That way everyone could have a Ferrari.

Keep saving, Polyal, and you might just get that FPV Fiesta. That way you can impress everyone with your FPV keyring when you go to nightclubs.

Full Noise, you sound like a typical grump.

The HSV VXR hasn't hurt their sales at all. Its people that have your attitude that hold things back. Since when has FPV been such an elusive brand?

I guess you think Cosworth's are for girly men too

EDIT: Or for example. Someone might have a GT for him, and a mondeo/fiesta FPV for her?

You are a bunch of wining bitches, if you want a car that has exceptional build quality with excellent resale value and after sales service, then you shouldn't have dropped out of school so early and you could afford to buy a merc. But then you'd be like every other German car driving tool squeezer, disappointed that your 100k euro trash just got waxed by an XR6 turbo with a flash tuner. Fords not perfect but its a damn sight better than most. Just be thankful you weren't born in Korea
