my exhaust hits those little yellow humps in the road used to divide the two lanes. pretty funny when you hit one at about 60km/hr, doesnt make you feel to good. i also got stuck on a drive way once while doing a pizza delivery for my uncles shop, had to get everyone out of the car including my self and just blip the accelerator to get to unhook its self. unfortunatly i ripped off the exhaust at the first muffler! there superlows all round, and i do have good shocks in it too, but then i chopped off half a coil off the back because i wasnt happy with it, now the front looks higher then the back, i wish i had a pick of it, i could show you how low it actually is.

There's some conflicting info here in regards to the victorian rules. I was always led to believe by many people that if anything on your car hangs below 100mm, it isn't legal. Some say it is only measured 1m fore or aft any axle on the car. I'm confused (again LOL), which is correct?

i actually thought it had to be 10mm clearance to 1m either side of an axle, and could be a little lower by a percentage or something outside of 1m (only a little in the middle) the actual rule is written by some english scholar who specialises in confusion methinks...

Well, you could ring the organisation who actually wrote the rules ;)

The Police TMU have a 100mm high metal bracket that they slide under your vehicle, and nothing is allowed to hit it. My mate was done in his silvia, becuase the dump pipe from the turbo was hanging like 2mm too low.

My EL has superlows all round, and my cat sits right on 100mm with no one in the car. If they measured it with 4 adults, I would be illegal.
The coke can rule would work, but a coke can is about 130mm high too. However, another common house hold iten is a dunny paper roll.. exactally 100mm high standing on its side! Since I live in SA, I checked out there website, this is what I found: Quote:

Right, yeah it was probably the "hunks" in the car that helped to lower it
As for me, I now wonder how low the springs I have sitting in the spare room will make the EA go. I think I will get my Pedders buddy to stick them on for me, on the front for now :
