I guess everything's possible.

The main problem with Lakeside is always going to be noise.

If we test and find the Drags are under the db limit, then I guess they can't do much about it. And the noise factor is governed by the EPA, not Council.

So much work has gone into this proposal, I'm talking 1000 pages, etc.

Cheers,

Mike

What is the db(A) limit?

Very good question. I did know it but I can't for the life of me think what it is!

There's a certain level it must be under, and that's checked within a certain distance from the track using some fang-dangled fancy equipment.

Will find out the noise level for you.

Cheers,

I know at the mount cotton driver training centre the db is 74 atthe prerimiter fence so i would be thinking the same.

The funny thing about that is this at the road fence and the cars on the main road are louder so work that out.

Something even funnier....

It was impossible to hear our Supercar going around Lakeside over the noise from the train!

Cheers,

Mike

That would be nice blacker10, but unfortunately out of the question owing to the noise factor.

Well, it's done!

Our 100+ page submission has been hand delivered to Pine Rivers Shire Council.

Now the nail-biting week or two waiting for the result :yeees:

Fingers crossed!

Mike

Well done. We all hope your hard work pays off and you aren't dissapointed at the end. Two weeks will feel like a lifetime and being this is council I wouldn't hold them to two weeks. More like two months/years.

Thanks for that Kerrie!

I know this sounds like a suck-up (but it's not!), The Pine Rivers Shire Council are really awesome to deal with. I'm so glad the track is in PRS rather than Brisbane!

They are just as excited as we are about the whole process and let's face it, the sooner it's all settled, the sooner then can expect some return on their investment.

I would imagine they won't even take the 2 weeks to decide.

Cheers,

Mike
