Wink Falcon Ads

I reckon the best was Alan Moffat driving an XC through people showing that a Falcon was better than an HX Holden with RTS going through witches hats
RTS suspension I think was just a sway bar added to the front of Holdens

Call me crazy, but my favourite was probably during 2005-6 when the 6-speeder was released for the BF Falcon. It was in German with subtitles. I couldn't find a link on the YouTubes but if someone could, please post it.

agreed. i think Ford advertising have disengaged from patriotic themes. why? i have no idea. that ad you have posted covers australian driving conditions (city and bush) in a nutshell and it did it really well.

it's almost as if the competition have gone for that theme and run with it to top sales while Ford are still wondering what happened, despite having a better product, years later.

Radial Tuned Suspension (RTS) introduced for the first time, and includes:
Road springs with modified rates and integrated overall balance
Shock absorbers with revised tuning, larger piston diameter and revised body mounts
Stabliliser bar at front increased in strength and weight
New stabliser bar now fitted to rear
Front suspension incorperates larger front compression bumper
Revised front and rear bushes
New front control arm bracket
Revised front control arm location
Lower control arm bushings fitted to rear axle

and didn't they spam it all over their cars? even on the dashboard. and everyone went for the cool sound of it... radial tuned suspension. what a load of...

I reckon it's about time for that one again. It's been a regular theme over the last few decades! (In the U.S. at least)

Wow, I'vd clicked on every link and was saddened that MY favourite commercial wasn't included.

I give you... the AU Falcon
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qhYa_iypLBY

Jazzy soundtrack, statements about the car and even makes the base AU1 Forte look kinda cool - honestly who designed those hubcaps!?!

I haven't looked at any of the clips, but I did like the evil twin Festiva? advert that decapitates the inquisitive cat peering through the sun roof.

It was a British Ad for the SportsKA.

That would be this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5dzi_8Rscfs

Cannot find ad ANYWHERE... Have tried many sites but still no luck. Somebody help me pleeeeeeeeeease..............

The ad is for the latest F250's that Ford Australia released in 2001 and featured the Supercab pull a road train out of a bog hole on an outback road. At the end of the ad the driver of the effy asks the truck driver if he wants a chamois.

****er of an ad!

Would love a copy...

I don't know if this was posted, but the old Telstar ad where the husband and wife take a Telstar out for a test drive (and don't return it)

The bit I remember was:
Husband: "Power steering! Look at this!"
Nagging wife: "Now John!"

Something like that. I was a kid at the time.

not a ford commercial but it's pretty cool and at the 24 second mark it makes the same noise as it does in the BA GT Ad (the one with the XY GT at Mount Panorama) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ww5gK...eature=related

cheers, Anthony

I'm gonna have to say that the best Australian Ford ad we have seen on screen in years. Simple stuning and showcasting a beautiful car!

It ashame that Ford marketing can't do the same for the FG model.

Love the "Field of Dreams" theme "Build it and they will come" (back from the dead) to use it where ther farmer builds a track and Steve McQueen turns up to drive the 2005 Mustang in his field. Very clever Elanor
