1993 AE92 Corolla CSi Limited.

Still runs, and still in the family (scarily). It was a car that me, my Brother and my Sister were bought to learn on, get a hang of a manual, and then pass on.

The First car that I actually owned was an EF XR6, in 1996

1961 XK with "Autoluxe" flash (think thats what it was called)

Worked on the family farm for 6 months when I left school & dad could only afford to give me a bit of "spending money" so when he sold the farm he bought me one like this except was "red over white"

They were great cars, glad i read the thread, we had one until day mucking around out back of town ( in a moment of madness ) i decided i could jump an embankment in it, so of i went flat strap up this hill, went air born well and good, and with all of the weight in the front came down flat on its nose, pretty well smashing everything up front. We did get it going enough to drive home but it never went after that, the whole front was buckled to pieces. good fun back then though.

The Austin 1300 was actually my mums car at the time but with my learning to drive in it (ie: smashing the gears, riding the kerbs etc), and then of course borrowing it after actually getting my licence to go out and about in and then unfortunately having a couple of minor smashes in it and so on, my mum made me buy it!!......ouch!!,.....when your 15 and looking to go out cruising with ya mates to pick up the girls a bright orange Austin 1300 just aint gonna cut it I'm afraid,........seriously though I did have the best times of my life in that car, it opened up a whole new world for me actually being able to go out and about anywhere I wanted to go, and yes it was a great little car, built like a tank, virtually indestructable, never missed a beat,....."ahh the memories"......."great days that will never come around again."

Standard 8 in 1975. (The 8 stood for 8 hp !!!)
Got the car day I got my license, for $250 (it was immaculate) which was also the day I turned 15.
Used to race my mates 100E Prefect and didn't win much !
Rolled it the morning of my school cert Engish exam, 4 months later, but still got 74 % in the exam later that afternoon ;-)
Sold it to an uncle shortly thereafter and he cut it down and made a dirt track toy from it.
Progessed to a Vauxhall Velox (3.3) straight after.... aahhh the memories.......
