Good point on the John Goss Specials shane. seeing Mr.Brock's Brock EA I have a lot of respect for the things. fantastic looking kit and wheels. his doesnt go too bad either! look at the commodore brock specials, they fetch some hefty prices now too.

I would gladly swap my XR6 for a Brock EA, if it was the right example.
They are actually starting to level out in the value stakes.

Hey guys,
My car, simple ED fairmont, got it for a steel. Not cause of its price or cause of anything, I got it because it appealed to me, cause it was something that I wanted. Guess what I am trying to say, is who cares what it is, if its something you want to do, do it man.... if it tickles your fancy, if you want to drive and ED XR6, then buy one, etc..... Cheers |

Depending on the model, the EA Brock is far superior value than even an EF/EL XR. For instance, my two Brocks have higher levels of equipment than my mates EF XR8.
My Brock is also faster than his EF XR8 too. You'd be surprised how much 'tweaking' Peter did to those 3.9's! The Brock that I take out on cruises is sorely missing a reasonable diff atm. I've run it once on a strip, and hit 15 seconds flat with a 2.9 (or whatever the ratio is) single spinner. 400Nm of torque, 130+ rwkw. With only simple tweaks on top of those done by Brock. They are tops to drive, and are by far the best looking E Series Falcon by a long way. |

best lookin' is a matter of opinion.
i personally don't think there is anything special about an EL XR8 with bodykit... looks nice, but kinda common.. the brock is rare, has its own bodykit, the interior is actually quite good (only EA with Leather??)

Chad (brockfordsrule) was kind enough to let me drive his car a few weeks ago, and i was mighty impressed!
I must admit, that i always thought the brock was pretty much an EA with a bodykit and exhaust, but his car really changed my opinion. Whilst they are by no means a rocket by todays standards, they are a well developed, refined car (for an EA :P) with a nice linear power delivery. It's what the EA should have been like from factory IMO! And as stated earlier, they have something that most other e-series don't have - exclusivity. ;) This is what determines there value. |

Interior was suede (again depending on model)
I believe there's too much plastic on the EL XR's. Yeah they look good, but a little 'tacky' Again, as the point has been made, comparing an EA to a EL is comparing two cars with 8 years between them in development... makes the EA Brock look pretty good actually... |

Definatly one of the best (not the best though) looking e-series cars. Definatly not absolute rockets but allot snappier than the EA's came out of Broadies.
Nice unique cars, however i dont seem to find them as apealing as the general consenus seems to, a nice clean predecessor to the xr6.
