1972 Mk3 Ford Cortina 1600L (first car) bought in December 1979 for $2,500 NZD , written off June 1982

1973 Mk3 Ford Cortina 2000 GT bought in July 1982 for $3,800 sold in May 1983 for $4,500 NZD (with $2k of mods)

1978 Mk4 Cortina 2.0L Ghia bought in May 1983 for $7,995 sold in April 1984 for $6,500 NZD

1973 XA Fairmont GS 302 Coupe - bought in April 1984 for $11,995 NZ..Sold July 2005 for $10,500 NZD

Then moved to Australia from NZ

1977 XC Fairmont GXL 5.8L - bought August 1985 for $4,500 AUD sold December 1987 for $3,600 (traded for XD)

1981 XD Fairmont Ghia 4.1L - bought December 1987 with 30.000 kms on clock for $8,995 sold September 1991 for $7,000

1986 XF Fairmont Ghia - bought September 1991 for $10,000 sold November 1995 for $7,500

1993 EB Fairmont - bought November 1995 for $25,995 sold August 2004
for $4,000 (traded for BA)

2004 BA Mk 1 Falcon Classic - bought August 2004 new for $34,000 sold January 2008 for $18,000

2005 BA Mk 2 GT, current car, for $45,000 bought January 2008 (with 11,000 kms on clock) and ain't selling this baby...best out of the lot including my XA 2 door which was a bucket of shite by comparison in looks, handling and grunt. No disrespect for X series coupe owners but i wonder why I drooled over the hardtops in my youth and actually bought one...Loved them once but never again !!

Ohh...also owned a 1972 265ci VH Valiant Charger briefly while I had the Mk4 Cortina. Along with the XA Coupe the Valiant was the worst handling ride unless you had a 2 ton bag of cement in the trunk
