Ah I was about to do that one! I would say 4/5, free ice-cream helped too

Name of Cafe/Restaraunt: Vic's Gourmet Food (nicknamed "Vic's Gourmet Greasy Goodness") - Trinity Heights Complex, Bathurst NSW.
Price: $7.50 (Works) - sandwich only
Date Consumed: 23th July 2008 12.20pm
Ingredients: 2×White bread slices (toasted), Minute Steak, shredded lettuce, tomato, beetroot, egg (fried), cheese, bacon, pineapple, onion and BBQ sauce.
Comments: A fresh tasting and easy to eat sandwich. The BBQ was a little to liberal and made the bread soggy on the edges. The steak was easy to chew but didnt have alot of flavour. I ordered the "works" and did NOT change anything. It held together nicely, with only a few shards of lettuce and onion falling out. I followed it with a small serving of Beer battered chips with chicken salt and a large Vanilla Malt flavoured Milk.

Overall it was a nice sandwhich, but had no chance to fill me up, as i hadnt eaten for 17hours.
Star Rating (out of 5, 5 highest 1 lowest): 4

Good writeup mate and well done for getting pics.

Name of Cafe/Restaraunt: Cafe Moorish, Moorong St Wagga Wagga.
Price: $11.20 with chips and gravy and a Glass Bottle Coke
Date Consumed: 23rd July
Comments: A good sandwich but let down in a few key areas, namely the use of processed cheese slices, cold lettuce and no option for sauce. Awarded extra points for its presentation and freshness, the use of chips and gravy to compliment the sandwich was also noted. A "neither here nor there" sandwich really but was a good choice for lunch after a busy morning.
Star Rating (out of 5, 5 highest 1 lowest): 2.5

Name of Cafe/Restaraunt: Boats Cafe Bar & Restaurant, Manly, Brisbane
Price: $18.50 with a huge serve of chips and salt & pepper calamari
Date Consumed: 23rd July
Comments: Appearance wise, it looked quite small, but in this sandwiches case, looks can be decieving, as this sandwich filled me right up. Was made on turkish bread, with a rather large eye fillet as the main centrepiece. Good honest filling ingredeients were used, being two slices of fresh tomato with a perfect pile of lettuce. Sauce was BBQ, but the flavour darkhorse was definitely the addition of caramelised onion, which added the right mix of sweetness to the overall flavour of the sandwich. Enjoyed with a VERY chocolatey milkshake, which is always good.
Star Rating (out of 5, 5 highest 1 lowest): 4

Hmm this sounds up my alley

Best steak sanga's I find are the ones you have to wait for ages for, its either because they're cooked better or your that hungry due to the wait it tastes like pure gold... Might be the same reason pub burgers taste so good.. damn Jim Beam!

Name of Cafe/Restaraunt: MAP Cafe, Flinders st Melbourne
Price: $7.00
Date Consumed: 24th July
Comments: This flat, lifeless unimaginative "sandwich" was not worth $2 let alone $7. It consisted of 1 piece of minute steak that was tender, a little lettuce, a small amount of tomato and some tomato sauce all wrapped in white generic bread that had been sitting in a warmer for too long. I was left feeling ripped off, dejected and still very hungry. I hate working in a capital city.

I'm off to get another feed if I can.

No it wasn't, and there lies the problem. I've just had to go and order a pizza, never happened to me before that I was hungry after an SS. Not happy.

Btw Aust, what's up with your phone? No service?

Compare the picture of Russell, to the one the BLUEPRINT had. It's enough to make you cry.

It looks like two bits of toasted bread with lettuce and tomato sauce.

They should be ashamed.

Star Rating (out of 5, 5 highest 1 lowest):4.5 Only lost 0.5 because as usual a customer walked in as I took my 1st bite and by the time I got to finish it, it was cold.

Name of Cafe/Restaraunt: Yanco Pub, near Leeton.
Price: $8.00
Date Consumed: 24th July
Comments: Righto, for those of you out west(ish) here we go. Bread was toasted nicely, enough to support the contents of the sandwich, but not burn the bread. Contents included generous sized steak (cooked well done, how I like it), bacon, lettuce, tomato, beetroot, REAL cheese, BBQ sauce, onion, all in correct proportions. This is a real steak sanga just like ya mum used to make. Came with a side of chips, lightly salted with chicken salt. A good feed.
Star Rating (out of 5, 5 highest 1 lowest): 4.5. Missed out by 0.5 because of parsley (who eats this stuff anyway) and tomato gel stuff slightly leaked. A choice SS. :

Are there any rules regarding "poofiness"??? (no offence). As in it's got avocado or some special cheese on it or something like that?

Nope. I don't think there should be a rule like that. If so, my last sandwich is out, due to the turkish bread.
