It'd be a bloody handful around the Mountain, but I'd relish every second. Picking the car would be just the icing on the cake for me. Doing the full 161 laps around Mt Panorama would probably be one of my ultimate wishes if I were to be granted one. I did four "sprints" last year driving at Bathurst in a VK Perkins replica with a 530hp 355 stroker, full race spec and it was probably the event highlight of my life, incredible. But, yes, my very own car would be my absolute pick of anything to pedal around the legendary mountain

A friend of mine went for a quick lap of Bathurst many years ago in a split window Combi like the one pictured, I think he did it in only 14 minutes.

Sorry everyone but an EVO 10, and I would do it one handed whilst adjusting the radio stations and a/c on. Very capable anywhere anytime even in rain.

I'd have an Aston V12 if someone else was paying for it.
Otherwise I've already driven the Mt in my XR6 (on an AFF cruise in 2005), a rental GTS86, and a Denning Landseer - which was quite slow, but the noise from the 871GM was epic!

VZ Commodore 3.6 hire car.
Got sent round the east coast on a work trip once, and this was the car we did Bathurst (at 60 or so) in. So I have both form and experience on this chassis at this track. Other than that, being interested in historic series production, an XR or XT GT, the early, lighter, revvy small block Windsors. Watched a doco in which John French (I think) said they were more nimble on the track, needed less wrestling around.

I would have to go McLaren F1, all analog 6 speed gearbox, 6.1 litre v12 naturally aspirated BMW goodness, but truth be told I think 4 laps in that and I would be stuffed
