I though it was only the last foxbody cobra SVT in 93 that made 235 HP and ran a 14.9?
Which is around the speed of the 220HP N/A 300ZX of the time.

You are right on the hp, but a little off on the ET. The guys we tuned were running mid 14 with their plane Jane models. Just took a little setup work.

Yes is it. We raced an '86 T'bird for a while. It was powered by my first 7 second, naturally aspirated, petrol burning small block Ford motor.

Not sure what a foxbody is like but the first thing you notice when jumping into a 6 cylinder cortina is the mammoth XD-XF trans tunnel and the tiny footwells. These cars were a work of evil and I'm suprised more people didn't come to grief. + The 250's torque comes on like an anvil, non of the OHC sixes i've driven compare on torque delivery. |
