I will be getting another Falcon when the current one packs it in. Hopefully that is a while away yet. My aim is for an F6 Typhoon, but will have to get it past the budgeting phase first, and also the boss, errr, I mean the wife... Might just get an XR6 if it's not allowed.

good to see the australian public is willing to back another locally made product.
no wonder the Fairlane and LTD are getting the boot.
What you say is true.

I cant get one when its released because the lease on my car runs out next month. and I have to change cars. I could extend but not far enough to reach Orion if its late 2008. It will be 2 years into Orion before I get one. I change cars every three years.

When is Orion to be released anyway? I have heard March 08 and August 08.

Unfortunate, but true...
Besides the brakes (which I've upgraded), I have never had a problem with either the forte (RIP) or the XR6. Both of which were built in august 98
Nothing came loose, broke off or caused dramas

im taking work car (ute) here...

will i buy 1 when released... no.
will i buy 1 a year after release... no.
will i buy 1 10 years after release... no.
will i ever buy another ford ute... no.

too many probs with my current one and ford's attitude on making it right is disgusting, so my money will now go elsewhere.

its interesting that nearly 47% of voters ATM wont buy 1 either.
looks good for ford sales again...

A five year wait for a 6% power increase for the GT's?

Hmmmm.....25- $30k changeover for only 20kw?

I've learned my lesson.

Thank god the payout in July is less than the market value...at least FPV beat HSV there.

No new Orion for me thanks. That low k 2nd hand 911 is looking pretty good...

Poll needs "No" option to vote for.

I'll wait it out for about 6 months to a year if I decide to get one. Also depends on what it looks like as well.

Intending to order an Orion F6 or GT within the first few months of release. The Orion turbo engines are looking good so far.

We are thinking of getting and Orion Fairmont Ghia and ute to replace the Eskies as company cars. While I think they'll be very good, a level above the already tempting BF MKII FGhia, the Mondeo and a Ranger look like a good option too. Mum prefers smaller car, Focus, but doesn't want manual like the XR5. Also considering CX7.

That's the first thing I thought about- run out Phoons. That and the XR6T would be the only thing I would consider after seeing the power that can be extracted and how easily it's done.

It should be easy enough to afford to so that's no object it will just depend on whether I want a large car or need one plus it would have to be a manual too which might limit things a bit.

No, I'll be keeping my BA for at least 5 years and I've only had it 6 months.

If I was to get another car it wouldn't be new, too much depreciation, and it wouldnt be a Falcon. I need a change, probably something small or midsize.

I haven't had any problems with my BA (yet). I just want a change, owned nothing but various Falcons for the last 10 years (my whole driving life). So my no vote has nothing to do with the car itself.

Sorry to hear you've had problems but it does sound way too common based these forums. Lets hope the dealers lift their game.

I won't be buying one. Whilst I remain a big fan and will follow the Orion launch closely I won't be handing over my cash to them again unless Orion Mk1 can prove the quality and resale issues are fixed. 2 year old Orion from auction may be an option for me though after a few years...wouldn't mind looking at a new turbo Mondeo when it arrives...otherwise the Camaro or Challenger...

Where's the option: No I think I would like something smaller.

I might buy a 2008 Lancer VRX, it looks hot.

I bought one of the first 6.0 litre WM Caprices to roll off the production line and I can guarantee that I have had 6 months of trouble free motoring. And there's no doubt that when the Orion GT is released I'll be waiting in line to get one as soon as I can so I can park it next to my lux-o-barge.

Plan is to get an XR8 Ute once they are launched. I've had a BA1, BA2 and BF all straight after they've been released and haven't had any "new car" problems yet....
