Okay for the record, i did say in my very first post, each to there own, if he loves it thats up to him. Good on him. He my be a horse person and love it, so stick badges all over if it makes u happy.
But when it comes to this i PERSONALLY think that it really does you no favours. It looks like ur trying to make it somthing its not. And mate if u love ur car with those badges, by all means leave them on. Ur not the only one doing it. The guy i saw was in melb, in doncaster. To all those fools that own a holden ands stick chev badges on them. its a holden. yup fine same design same whateva, its still a holden, it came out with a holden badge, holden fans pride themselves on holden and loving them so why change it? And if u lived in america it would be a chev. So if volvo made an engine and ford copied it and stuck it in a falcon, would u stick volvo badges on ur ford? i dont think so.

Personaly i havent seen a mustang badge on an aussie ford till i read this thread, but i have seen numerous chev badges on the holdens.
I think it's a joke. BE PROUD OF WHERE YOU LIVE AND WHAT WE PRODUCE!! So what if it's an american motor, it's in a holden made by aussie's, be proud of it. If anything the americans should have holden badges on there GTO's. Same goes for anyone putting a mustang badge on an aussie ford. Are you ashamed of driving an aussie car? Not me hell no, we make some damn fine cars and im proud to have the aussie badge on my car :

I would only go as far, as the Nissan rocker cover, like a few have already done. As for the Stang badges on a Falcon???? lol some people don't deserve to drive cars. Also I don't really know why people put Chev badges on LS1/LS2 powered Commodores anyway. I thought LS* engines were a global GM motor? They make their way into other parts of GM like Vauxhall, Holden, Pontiac etc, so it's not a true Chev motor. Last edited by Ryan; 01-10-2007 at 12:27 PM. |

lol, yeah I'm on their from time to time seeing as the folks have a commodore. Also I like to see what the one -eyed Commo owners opinions are on things. You'd be surprised on some of their opions....the best is they still think the V6 is a superior engine to the I6. |

Also I think you'll find the majority will give the I6 a big thumbs up. It's only the select few that bag them, but like I said, it's no different here. Last edited by Ryan; 01-10-2007 at 03:13 PM. |

I saw a BA/BF last week with a set of Tickford wings under the XR6 badge on the back?
All I could do was shake my head. But hey, not all of us can own a genuine set of wings lol :P |

So i sold it and now own and AU2XR8. Ur right dont throw stones if u live in a glass house. luckly, i dont live in a glass house, so ill throw stones. And if anyone wants to have a go at me, by all means get it out on the table, i dont take things personally. To the guy that said they should be stick holden badges on there GTO. ur smack on! lol I agree with u, why wouldnt u be proud of driving and aussie car?

Just for your enjoyment I might put a "pony" on my new front bar. I see less of and issue with having it on a Boss motor as they are similar to the 5.4L motors in the mustangs.
