SS and Herrod are basically the same thing. Even my Herrod one has the SS logo on it :hihi:

Theyre good but unless one came up cheap I probably wouldnt buy another one. Mine was fitted to the ute before I bought it so Im not fussed in that regard. It'll suck your hand in if you put your hand over it and rev it, but I've also put the typhoon lower intake into mine so its getting it in 2 ways.

nah, no point. XR's can get air from behind the headlights as there's a gap between the light and the bar, so I just have a hole directly behind that that sucks it in. Sounds a lot louder and goes well.

Yes I do but I have far better things to spend $600 on - i.e. a cam.

MSD 8.5mm Super Conductors- I've tried 4 sets of leads now and these are BY FAR the best- oddly enough, not the most expensive ones either........

Edit: actually every part of my ignition system is MSD now except the plugs which are standard NGK's.....

MSD hey...Are they a made up set or an off the shelf boxed item? Mine are due for replacement soon and I have never been that happy with them.

Got mine made up from Dave at A1 High Performance over here (Bottledup on the forums)- he's done heaps of sets for forumers fopr a good price.

Honestly mate, I wouldn't use anything else. Have a post of mine wher i did resistence checks with Top Guns vs Eagles vs MSD- HUGE difference. I know resistance isn't everything, but the quality of the set is first class too....

I lived out of town in a fairly dusty area for most of this year, never cleaned the engine bay while I lived there, and still haven't, but my engine bay looks nothing like that.
