Mate,
with only 6 weeks to go for orion release (motor show), you should have stayed on the meds. Hope you don't lose too much on it when you trade up in a couple of months
cheers

AERON let me know how your diff goes in 100k
it is manufactured by "lon"
lon's engineering makes the v6 alloytek (outsourced)
the ZF 6 speed ford (outsourced)
VE onward's contract for diff's dana not renewed.
ford thinking the same but diff contract till august 2008 (renewal pending)

Im sorry, but Its so much nicer to drive than the XR6T. And its easy to drive too. It may not have as much peak power as my XR6T (its has a flash tune) but low to mid range is better and so is the interior.

Dont get me wrong, I'll always go for Ford in motorsport (V8Supercars) but when it comes to road cars, I like both Red and Blue.

So yeh, I pick it up some time this week.
Hi mate. Congrats on the purchase of what is a great bang for your buck sedan. It's sad to see the T go but that's the way things are.

Top choice. Had one sitting behind me on the monash the other day thought I could see myself driving one of these. SS and Senator are the only VEs I really like.

Gratz Mate

Yeah they are a nice ride, I took a manual SS for a drive approx 8 months ago & found the Handling Excellent, Gearbox Notchy & found myself in the wrong gear a few times though Engine so Wonderful it did not matter.

I also found it to be a bit claustrophobic when compared to a Falcon (was black leather inside) maybe that had something to do with it?

Things changed a short time after & I found myself after a Ute otherwise I may have bought one in RedHot

Enjoy it & make sure you let all of us know how it drives & economy etc etc after you have had it awhile.

24 hour time for those VE people.

Everything remains the same for [Am] from 0100-1200, from 12pm there after it's as follows.

1pm = 1300
2pm = 1400
3pm = 1500
4pm = 1600
5pm = 1700
6pm = 1800
7pm = 1900
8pm = 2000
9pm = 2100
10pm = 2200
11pm = 2300
12pm = 0000

Don't have time to explain it, off to mates house.

Cheers

Hahahahaha!!! If you can find an SSV with 13,000Kms for mid-high 30's you're doing very very well.

If I want an Orion, I’ll buy one 4 years. Just because im buying a Holden doesn't mean I’ll always have it. For example, I had a Commodore before my XR6T.

I don't know about the military time option, mine is in normal 12 hour am/pm format. Probably just a matter of selecting the format via the HMI.

Insofar as the car, well even though mine sprung a fuel leak on the first day, it hasn't missed a beat since (16 months). No diff problems, no oil loss, no nothing....except the bloody Bluetooth has a mind of it's own.

The intervals between services is a bonus.

I took a calais v for a drive when the first came out and almost bought one except when I added it all up I decided to spend my money more wisely.
The 6 litre is a really nice motor with plenty of power on tap when you need it.
Who knows might pick one up second hand down the track. :

Congrats on owning the best stock V8 on the market.
