also makes you think again about shoddy aftermarket rims - one of the guys from bseries had 17" RJR(the bob jane crap chinese brand) rims and going to wisemans ferry(not the best but not all that bad) his rim literally shattered and sent him into a guard rail, wrote off the car - repairable but still wrote it off

Some wheel places will repair them, but a word of advice; don't go in and ask if they do "rimjobs" like I naively did one day because everyone will laugh at you.

I destroyed a rim on a big pothole one night. The rim job guy...lol staightened the lip etc but the centre was distorted, now it makes a great hose reel at home

Having just moved from country SA to Central West NSW I have to say the roads here on the whole are a bl00dy disgrace. The average dirt road in SA is better than the majority of secondary bitumen roads here and some of the major highways leave a lot to be desired as well. No wonder the insurance premiums are higher here, just to cope with the atrocious state of the roads.
What I don't understand is, with rego being so much higher here and the other associated taxes and charges this state gouges out of the motorist how can the roads be so bad EVERYWHERE? Do the pollies, councillors and bureaucrats in this state all walk round with their heads up their collective a$$es?
