Considering who this car belongs to, the F6's time doesn't look too shabby at all, especially with a lady behind the wheel of the F6.
There was a decent amount of wheelspin on launch with the W427 but I think the F6 does suffer from the same problem. This example did less than 300rwkw (330 with a tune) on CV Performance's dyno... on par with many FG F6s. There was a time where I truly believed the W427 was substantially more powerful or quicker.

I am SO looking forward to when my old man takes HIS to the drags!

Someone, somewhere, needs to line up an FG F6 and a W427.
Best out of three.
Just so the debate can end...in our favour... :

Spooly, i'm inclined to think you are right here

Looking at his video title, he mentions "CV performance", and then a few videos down the list there is another one called "Black HSV". This video showns the SAME black W427 with the SAME numbers written on the front windscreen and in the movie description it says "W427 tuned by CV Performance hits the track at WSID in street trim."

There is clearly a bit of wheel-spin going on here but still...to only be 1 tenth ahead of a stock F6...interesting

That C&V tuned W427 best mph was 118mph and had clutch problems, I was at WSID when they raced it so with a good launch its et would more likely be around the 11.8-11.6 mark.

Cool, definitely very impressive, but its still not stock...and it is being described as a stock vehicle on LS1 and Youtube despite having a tune

I would be real interested to see what a good driver can do in a stock one of these for comparisons sake

That W427 should be in the 11's.

But its not so we take it as we see it

It is a little scary thinking that the W427 has clutch problems whilst only having an extra 30 kw of power than what its made for. Seems like the car is built right to the limits.

Mate just a guess but the clutch they put in it might be fine on the street but add some sticky MT's and a few solid launchs will show the true colours of most clutch's, as soon as you put on good rubber at the strip you better have a good clutch or you will fry it.
