why not just cut the post off with a grinder. do you really need to pull the lot out
once its got dirt covering it who cares but yep, video it

just dig and then angle grind it as low as ya can then burry it.... dont use a rope they can unexpectedly snap... very dangerous

dont some people use poles and what not to do really dodgy repairs on damaged front ends, tie car to pole and then pull.... im thinking the pole will win....

couple of weeks ago in the Sunday Mail a tow rope broke on a car in Tasmania the shackle come through the back window of the car and Killed the young driver or passanger not quiet sure so dig it out it could be safer option

As has been said, I recommend the use of a shovel and crowbar, that little bit of effort could save a fair few $$ in damaged panels..

I'd be inclined to find a 4WD and use a wire, rope or fibre sling. If the chain and/or shackles break you will have a nice BIG hole in the back of your ute. If you use a sling drape a beach towel over it half way so if it lets go it will "bundle" itself up and fall on the ground.
The 4WD will have low range and get better traction. You can still do donuts in your ute!!! |
